| Just venting a little... I entered a $30 Limit HE tourney on UB last night, 219 players to start. No less than 5 players at my starting table are raising/re-raising EVERY ACTION that came to them; and showing down crap hands. The whole time, they are all bitching in the chat window how much they hate Limit games. Why do they register? Some of us enjoy Limit tourneys, and this kind of behavior makes it really frustrating. I asked at one point, and one of them responded that he registered "by mistake." I then asked if he was illiterate. A few hands later, I took the same guy for most of his stack because he kept reraising me when he had nothing and I had a made hand. After that hand, I asked him why he didn't just leave and let his stack get blinded out, he said he didn't want to waste the money, I said, "the way you play, you're wasting it anyway." Anyway, I went on to finish in the money (11th place) then I jumped into a $20 NLHE tourney that had 98 players and finished 2nd (my best finish yet!) -Moz "Yeah, I've made up your mind." | ||

| Congratulations on your tourney results. I have heard the same thing in every multi table limit tourney at UB. At least 2 or 3 people at the first table say they hate limit. I just figured it was an excuse for their poor play. Indiana Kid | ||

| Moz, Congrats on your tourney results. I also prefer limit over no limit when it comes to tourneys, and I have also encountered similar players along the way who, after having their set cracked on the river by a flush, type something to the likes of "I hate limit hold 'em. If this was no limit you would never have made it that far." It just cracks me up, and I like your asking that guy if he was literate or not. Too funny. My all time favorite though was when I was playing a $40 Limit Omaha 8 tourney on PokerStars, maybe 200 or so entrants. Naturally there was a maniac at my table who proceeded to raise and cap nearly every hand early on with mixed results. When the stakes went up to 50/100, level 3, there was a board with 4 hearts, a low draw but no pairs. The maniac was involved with two others, and when it was time to show cards he had the ace of hearts and nothing else. Another player had two hearts good for a medium high flush, and the third player had the nut low. The maniac then proceeded to type "What the hell, I had an ace high flush!!! How could I lose?" Of course someone at the table had to type "You didn't know that you must use 2 hole cards to make your hand?" to which the maniac replied "No, I thought this was just like hold 'em with 4 cards but a split pot." LOL. And this was a $40 tourney. It just goes to show you how many truly clueless internet players there really are, regardless of the limit. Giocatore | ||

| Hey Moz , First.......congrats on your two "money finishes"......good job. Second........I would think it would be to your advantage $$ if you had players like that at your table. Players that raise and re-raise every hand with bad cards are more likely to get busted out unless they get lucky the whole way through. If what they say bothers you as to, "well why are they playing then"?.......I would simply just try to refrain from asking them questions as to "why" and "how could you play like that", etc. etc.,.......and just take a mental note of those players and punish them whenever I could. Let 'em dust off their chips and hopefully it'll be to you! I play with people like that all the time in limit ring games on-line.....they bitch and moan every chance they get about the hand they "shoulda won"......but they are still the ones that *continue* to make horrific calls! One minute they've got a mass of chips and the next.....they're simply being outplayed by the better players and for the most part, they leave as losers. Anyway........take what they say with a grain of salt and continue to play a winning style of poker........WTG Moz. 4 POKER | ||

| hell I tell them Nice Hand after their suckouts. It's worth it in the long run. They have to win once in a while. Sometimes the flop comes down 7 7 2. | ||

| foraces, Absolutely! "Nice hand" will suffice just fine, otherwise there's really no point in commenting. You *always* want to keep your customers happy! | ||

| As always, I know you guys are right on the money. I usually do pretty good with these players, but once in a while I just have to let it out... :) -Moz "Yeah, I've made up your mind." | ||

| I hate limit tourneys because when the players are so very very very bad you just can't play any hands but the most premium...and since you are limited by time you very quickly end up either winning a couple of giant pots and in there good or blinding down and out. If I wanted to roll dice to see if I would get a chance to play I'd play a slot machine to win a buyin to a no limit event. | ||
