I've read his advice- my parakeet could do better.
He's just a barely-breakeven 0.25/0.50 online player who lives in a trailer home.

Jeez, 4 Poker, those bribes must really be presented well.... I'm in awe!

I assume this is in jest, its too cruel and inaccurate to be serious. Does your parakeet help you with your interminable TV reviews , also. BTW, some of your comments have been rather androgynous, could you clarify
your status?

Yes, it is in jest. 4P and EE have both been on this forum for a loooong time and have a lot of respect for each other. EE's sense of humor is dry and biting, and some of us love it! :)

As to the question of gender (I hope she doesn't mind me answering for her) EE is a lady; one who owes me a date next time she is here! (I won't forget that!) ;)

"interminable"??!?!? I'm CRUSHED!!! My PARAKEET is crushed- she won't come out of her cage now!!! You're an animal abuser! I hope you're proud of yourself.. talk about cruel!
From now on, my TV posts for you will be in the words of Men on Film "HATED IT!" - brief enough?

" its too cruel and inaccurate to be serious" Well, at least you got ONE part of this statement right- do you KNOW that 4 Poker doesn't match this description? What gave you a clue, his post above in this thread where he describes what level he plays at?

"some of your comments have been rather androgynous, could you clarify
your status? "

"androgynous"? I thought my TV posts were pretty clear on what I was asking, actually.....

Going to go cry now....

LOL . . . . . EasyE proceeds to disrespect 4 POKER with that above garbage, yet he is the one who cut and pasted something to the likes of "I'm delaying posting my comments on ESPN's WSOP Day 3 coverage because I'm having guests over tonight and won't have time" on several forums including this one and 2+2, as if he were apologizing to his many followers who immediately logged onto those sites and kept hitting refresh every 30 seconds, eagerly awaiting what EasyE had to say. And the fact that he asserted that 4 POKER is a 0.25/0.50 player living in a trailer just shows how immature he really is. Pathetic. I'm pretty sure I won't be the only one coming to 4 POKER's defense, in fact, I just noticed that Roy Cooke had done just that, so it's obvious that EasyE has just made a fool out of himself and earned himself a spot on my ignore list. Sorry to intervene, but this blatant display of disrespect simply warranted such.

Hey Giocatore-

I know that you are 4P's friend, and very fond of him, but I'm sure even he will tell you that EE's post was pure jest; tongue-in-cheek. It was not meant disrespectfully, but sarcastically; to be funny.

Damn... I missed all the fun!

But I will come to 4P's defense anyway. He is a great guy. And he DOES NOT live in trailer. Everyone knows he still lives with his mamma in the projects. But don't let the ratty hair and smell give you a bad perspective of this man. He is sharp as a tack. He is the UNO and Go Fish master, and would gladly give you the Pink Floyd t-shirt off his back.

P.S. 4P - Have a great trip... you know my address... you don't need an appointment!

4poker is this sites resident guru. And his advice is generally sound, so give him kudos for even wanting to do such a thankless task. If you disagree with something he says then reply to one of his post instead of throwing out meaningless insults.

chasepoker and Moz get gold stars, the REST of you need to lighten up!! Man oh man.... don't take yourselves TOO seriously, try to get the obvious swipes....

Oh, and swagman, as good as 4P's stuff is, I thought Roy and Mike were our "resident gurus" officially.....

well it's different stroks for different folks. 4poker is good at practical advice while others or more into theory. But I think 4poker's advice is more helpful for players that are just starting out, and he's always eager to help them. But anyhow its all good and nice to stir things up is all i meant. But maybe do it by critizing a single post by him. But as it is it seems it was just in jest so Im sorry if I sounded too intense.

People --

Please don't even think about starting flame wars on UPF. We are all family here, and we express respect for each other. I cherish any polite contributions from Easy E, and I cherish the help and advice given by 4 Poker -- and I believe he was unfairly attacked.

I will not allow this to become an unfriendly place. We want to maintain good manners and decorum here. There are plenty of other places where insults are abundant.

I will not remove this thread at this time, because it speaks for itself. But I don't want any more bickering added. This skirmish is over. I am siding with 4 Poker on this one, as having been attacked without good reason. But I am hugging both sides -- although they aren't required to hug each other.

Think of UPF as a stress-free poker zone, where we go out of our way to avoid personal collisions and where we practice good manners, even when we don't feel like it.

Straight Flushes,
Mike Caro

By the fact that 4P didn't post here since Easy did, he either...

A) Hasn't read the post

or more likely

B) Didn't take the comments lightly

4Poker is a great guy. I can say that without hesitation because I have had plenty of correspondence with him. Not only is he a fantastic poker player, but he is very open minded and willing to learn from anyone. And he takes great pride in his skill and profession and I doubt he took her comments well. If someone talked like that to me about my skills as an accountant, I would have taken offense. I think a bit of humor is good here. Hell... I'm all about humor. But there are lines to be crossed. Easy didn't even seem apologetic that she might have crossed the lines even as several other people took offense to her comments and defended 4P. Not only is 4P a great poker player but also a man of great character and I would back him to the end. Not that I think anyone here with a love for the game would question 4P in any regard.

Sorry, but this has been weighing on me and needed to get it off my chest.

Don't get me wrong. I think that 4P is a great asset to this board and a great player. I also think that Easy has a lot to offer. I don't think that either one of them should be upset about this ... sounds to me like some ribbing that was maybe taken the wrong way is all.

I don't think this place is quite a playground, so I would imagine that we can get back to things as they should be and not have a silly fight on our hands.
