| Seven card stud: Guy calls on sixth street, a board containing QQQ. Turns out he had 9's up, and won the hand with 9's full on the river. | ||

| How much money was in the pot. I could see that being a reasonable call if all 4 of his outs were live, if it were a game where 8 players are sticking around the whole way, if there was a verritable tonne of money in the pot, and if the player showing QQQ was a big fool who was known to always bet when he had no tight in that spot, but go for an idiotic checkraise when he has tight. In general, it is a very very very stupid call, but I can imagine a pathalogical situation in which it would be correct. I've seen much much worse playing at UB though. One hand I had aces full with 2 of them on my board, had a player cap 5th street. I paired my board a second time on 6th street (making my tight) and he capped that without a pair or a 3-flush on his board and not even much to indicate a straight. Then he capped 7th street with me. To show me jacks up. | ||

| No, the pot odds didn't justify the call. He was an out and out maniac. A few hands later he started hitting the reraise button big time with what turned out to be a starting hand of 5 7 9 two suited. He was in against rolled up 4's. Later he called a raise and made a straight with 2 6 10 rainbow. He eventually went broke, came back into the game and lost half his chips again. His screen name implies that he his financially very well off, so i suppose this may explain things. | ||
