| You can't smoke in public places that aren't designated as such. Regular bars, casinos, restaurants, or on public sidewalks are all prohibited. Basically you need to be in a private club (which could also be a bar) that is licenced to sell it and have it smoked there or you need to be in your home or somebody else's home. | ||

| No you cant one of my frends asked me the same thing before he went out their to play. You can however smoke puff outside in the street ( if you arent causing a nuisance ) and lots of people do in Damsqaure ( near the red light district) and obviously in coffee chops and at home you can smoke until your heart is content ( or mind no full of content ). | Of course if you went to play poker in Canada, you could take quick breaks outside away from the table. The law on it here is that if you're in posession of less than half an ounce, the penalty is a fine in the form of a traffic ticket and it carries no weight as a criminal offence. And you only get the ticket if the cops stop you and you're being a dick. | ||

| If you were standing in front of the casino security doing it in the parking lot, they would probably have something to say. You definitely wouldn't be barred though...just asked to take it off the property...if you were across the street on in your parked car in the lot I'm sure that you wouldn't be hasstled. And as for being arrested, if you have less than 15 grams they *can't* arrest you for it because it isn't criminally illegal. | ||

| I believe the legal term for it is "asshole charges". Even before the decriminalization, British Columbia had 17 arrests for simple posession for every 1000 times the cops showed up and just took it away. I guarantee you that in any group of 1000 pot smokers, 17 are total dicks. Essentially, it is something that you can do without anybody caring so long as you aren't being an idiot about it. | ||

| Well, I grew up in BC so I can claim it as a part of my cultural herritage...but then I moved out to the much more sober Ontario and grew up ... and now I can just look back with fond memories. | ||
