| was playing seven card stud the other night at pokerstars and got the wildest seven card stud hand I have ever seen in my life, the first three cards were kings, so naturally I raised and reraised to the limit, then I got a seven, then another, now I have a full house and a lock so I throw it all in. Cool right? well it got wilder, got another seven giving me three sevens and three kings, and then on the river yep you guessed it got my fourth seven. I won the hand no problem but what I wanted to ask is what is the odds or has anyone else ever see such a hand, three kings and four sevens out of seven card stud? | ||

| I have no idea what the odds are, but I may just work them out. I guess you would call that a super full house. Hmmm... so you need some 4 of a kind and some 3 of a kind in 7 cards. There are 13 ways to get your quads out of 52choose7 ... then we can work out the odds of the other three cards matching. which would be 3/47*2/46 ... so your whole thing would be 1 in 3,708,233,573 (1/3) chance of hitting a super full house in a 7 card stud game. Or a player should catch a super full house (assuming they always see all 7 cards) once every 3.7 billion hands. Pretty impressive. | ||
