| I have never played 5 card draw except for a few times in a home game, but has been interested in learning it for a while. Then I recently read your current Card Player article "Online Draw Poker Strategy", and decided to open an account at planet poker and used your 'playbook' with very good success in a $1/2 game. The one thing that seemed unclear was when you stated: "In Position 2 --That is, on the button -- come in with tens or a pair of nines as long as you also have two cards higher than a nine in your hand or an ace." What I don't understand is if you are saying to keep the card higher than the nines or that just by having those cards narrows the chances of someone else having a pair higher than nines. The one other question I had is: When you are in late position in a low-limit, loose game with a lot of limpers and have two aces or two low pair, is it better to raise as a value bet or to limp and base your further play on how many your opponents draw and the texture of the post-draw betting. It seems in the $1/2 games, if a player is in for $1 they are going to be in for $2 no matter what. Thank you in advance for your response | ||
