Looking for links and info on the new casino being built in Las Vegas: Le Reve ("The Dream" in french). Supposed to beat the Bellagio (in theory) so any news welcome.

The name was dropped--partly French backlash, but mostly people could not relate to the name. It is now Wynn casino-- everyone can relate to that. Try searching Wynn Resorts

Thank you Gary, that explains a lot, though "Wynn Casino" doesn't have the same appeal that Mirage, Bellagio, etc evokes. There are even a couple of names that could be resurrected. Sad to see the "Silver City Casino" still boarded up in Vegas, ... I used to play there a lot a long time ago ... :) Thanks for the answer.

I don't think the name will actually be Wynn casino but the Wynn name will be attached. There is currently an art exhibit in the old Desert Inn that is identified as the Wynn Collection, By the way, that is where "Oceans 11" was filmed in the created Red Dragon casino. The DI that is, not the art collection.

I think you meant to say Rush Hour 2 was filmed there as the Red Dragon, since Ocean's 11 was filmed at Bellagio.

The new place is supposed to open (I believe) in 2005, and Steve Wynn claims that it will outdo Bellagio. Supposed to have some sort of mountain in the middle, a Ferrari or Lamborghini dealership inside, etc. Can't wait. Not a fan of the "Wynn Casino" name idea though. They said the reason they might go with that is because Trump has been successful naming places after himself.

I have been reading some of the hype for Wynn's Casino and the name is not set yet. Wynn just picked up another old master (by Rembrandt) for his collection. He has the liquidity to build something grander than the Bellagio, and we can only hope that the poker room will set new standards.

Sorry about the slip on " rush hour 2 ": worked on it for 21 days should have remembered. Cross your fingers on the poker room , According to an earlier post by Roy Cooke, Wynn's execs didnt want a poker room but Bobby Baldwin talked Wynn into it.
