| Its simply this..... No matter how bad of a streak you're on....just act like you're on an incredible run (in your mind) Its almost amazing how much a positive outlook helps your game. I play sit n go's almost exclusively and about 10-15 a day. so after losing a couple in a row, especially after getting 4ths, its easy to get in a bad mindset. Its hard for ANYONE whos losing to have a positive mindset, but its amazing how well it works. ( I did this in my last tourney, after catching myself losing half my stack with K10o when a K flopped, although I made a strategy post on here a month ago not to play marginal hands like.... K10o early) Whenever I win.... I seem to win big. Looking back on it, the reason I have huge days is at least in part because after you're up some your confidence and mindset is happy, helping you to play well. Pull a hellmuth.... tell yourself you're blessed and good things happen to you. I was in a little bit of a rut.... just magically told myself that I was going to win, and low and behold I did. People say "oh take a break, come back refreshed, etc....." but the break alone doesn't do it, you have to come back thinking you're going to win. We're supposed to be playing with money that we can afford to lose, because if you aren't you're making a mistake inherently. Thus when you play don't worry about losing when it does happen. You'll win more often. Edit: add a 2nd next tourney..... I'm going to bed as soon as a lose one seeing as how I've got a lot to do tommorow..... so whether its a long night or not it could be good or bad depending on how ya see it =) | ||
