Yeah, heads up that's a tough break....6-6 vs. 8-8, but what can you do, he got lucky, not once, but twice.

Stuff like that happens all the time though. What can I say except, "That's poker"........better luck to you.

thing is I see this happen like 50% of the time in the tourneys at stars. someone pulls a miracle on 4th and the other guy hits his miracle on the river. It happens too often. Somehow I've made 2k there but won't put anymore money in at that site.

I've never had big problems with that at Stars. In fact Everywhere I go the I get eh same amount of Bad Beats. You people gotta stop thinking the websites are rigged for bad beats...

so do you guys regularly play the tourneys at pokerstars? I've built my bankroll from about $300 to over 13k in 7 months. I've played more hours then I'd like to admit and I've played all the sites. Even the no name ones. I'm not a sore loser who's gone broke from the internet games but stuff I've seen once every 3 to 6 months at a B+M casino I see twice weekly or more. Nobody who has played a significant amount of online poker will tell you differently. I don't really care as I've made decent money though you always hope to make more.but the number of stupid calls more than makes up for odd occurences. How many sets do you see or hit at a site like party or paradise versus how many you actually hit or see at a regular casino? I have no stats but every good player has a feel to what's normal and what's not.

I'm just curious, but would most of you agree that at the local B&M there are far more hands that don't make it to the river than online? Maybe this explains some of the bad beats, suckouts, etc. Online people call til the cows come home so the irregularity will happen more often. Just a thought. DJpoker

yes that has something to do with it everyone going to the river. and I'm not saying online shuffle is worse it's just different. Online shuffle maybe the true random shuffle but I've seen too man sets flopped turned or rivered but someone else will be holding top two pair it makes for some big pots. You just have to play it differently and yes I do play different online sites differently and the small ones don't have have pokertracker stats. You just adjust to whatever certain sites have a perchant for flopping. Same as playing the player but now you have to play the site also.

I'm not so sure. I've only played in a B&M twice so I don't have much of a frame of reference, but didn't someone just post a few days ago that a typical hand at their local B&M took around 2 minutes? How many hands do you see online in 2 minutes..5? 6? And thats if you're only playing one table at a time. I think a big part of the reason for seeing so many more strange occurances online is because there are so many more hands being dealt.
