Can I get some opinions on where to play real money online. I play PokerStars, Paradise, UB, Party, and Pacific mostly, all play money, I will be throwing in $40 (big spender huh) and wonder where you guys prefer to play.

I personally really enjoy pokerstars, I find they have a good selection of games, but a lot of people on here seem to perfer Ultimate Bet. I would put your money on whatever site you feel most comfortable with. Whatever you choose make sure you try to find a deposit bonus code, it's free money and almost all the sited have them for new real money accounts. (Also most sites require minimum deposits of $50)

I did just notice that, one I was looking at was $25 so I just figured most were like that, guess not, of course this slows my play cause I used Neteller and ETF to my checking account which takes 3-4 days to process.

I started off playing on Pacific but moved to party poker after a few months due to limited game selection. Pacific isn't a big site, but their customer service was always good, and they have limits as low as 0.05/0.10. The lowest limit offered on party poker is the 0.50/1.00, which can lose you more than you'd like if you're just trying to learn the ropes. Good luck in whatever you decide!

I like pokerstars for they have whatever kind of value you want in a game and the same time they run freerolls to satelites as well, this brought me to the site and I also like no matter what time of day it is the place is moving and not empty looking I like to play late at night, last night did well turned fifty bucks into seventy five in about an hour then called it a night. As for the freerolls you win seats in satelites which can lead you into a fifty tho thournament. I dont like the lay out at UB for the place makes you feel like a stick person and a username with its graphics. Party poker I left because while they did have freerols it was too hard to get into as well as other games. This is my oppinon, wherever you play may you have the best of luck.

Hey JohnnyG,

I think you'll be fine with any one of the bigger and more reputable sites like the ones you have mentioned, but I probably would do away with Pacific.

Party Poker, Paradise, Pokerstars,UB are better choices IMO, but I think that they all require a $50 (min) deposit, so just make sure.

Good luck with it all!

The reason I play Pacific is we play at work because of the "no download" feature. I really don't play it too much at home.

I suggest not to start with 50 dollars online. The result could be that you will lose that money and get a too subjective impression about online poker. In any case I'd open up a neteller account so you can easily shift from site to site. To make things more interesting to you I'd log on where you can collect the free bonus and play the hands required. Then you just cash out and jump to the next site until you have ound the site which you like the most. My favorite sites is......hmmmmmm, I play on about 5-6 different sites, according the bonus offers :D Good luck, anyway.

Hey Leebog
Most sites have 20 dollars buy-in or less or more, always depends on the limit you intend to play. The beauty of paradise is the stunning software, it's probably the best and most stabile software there is. But they don't give as many offers away as for instance Pokerstars, Party or the baby servers. I'd always keep my eyes open and jump around. pokerstars has freeroll tournaments for everyone with the chance to buy-in for a satellite on sunday's popular multi-table tournament with super payouts. No obligations, no questions asked, I like it, sometimes I play there, but never won an entry yet :(

I play on UB. There are some really cheap limits there so your $40 can go a long way. There are also some terrible players. If you sit down at one of the $0.10-$0.25 blinds Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Low games and you know how to play you can slaughter those guys in no time and work that $40 into a real bankroll. They also have fishy tourneys there too.
