The single worst played game I've seen, palman, 1. Aug 2003 23:34 | ||

| I was just absolutely amazed. It's 2 AM on friday so perhaps my entire table was drunk. I even suspected collusion (someone went all in with 77, while the other held J7) but I couldnt pinpoint anyone playing together, because they kept just beating eachother up. I was BY FAR the shortest stack 4 handed, yet there were at least 6 all ins by other players called I just sat and wait and got 3rd. The chipleader 6 handed (3000 chips) UTG went all in with Q9o and caught a Q) and was called by a K6o who had 1500 chips. There were at least 25 just AWFUL all ins (the best hand I saw shown was a 77) If I had any kind of hands there is little doubt I would have won it. 3 players there.... if you checked they saw it as a sign of weakness and went all in on you, this is at party poker and it was truly the most absurd thing I have ever seen. | ||

| Well of course it was at PartyPoker...they should call it The Aquarium. I play in tournaments like that all the time, and the way you played it is pretty much the way I do it. One thing Ive noticed is you want to tighten up your hand requirements even more in these games early on. I recall one time getting knocked out 4th (and it was only the beginning of the second round!) because I called with AA (of course, waiting for the usual idiot to go all in, which he did), and lost to his K3o when 2 K's came up. Id make that play every time, but I have just come to realize that on those tables I'll either get knocked out in 20 min. to a bad beat or I'll finish in 1st or 2nd. | ||

| Sounds like you were playing with the right opponents :-) Roy Cooke on 1. Aug 2003 23:34 palman wrote: > I was just absolutely amazed. | the Party Poker sitandgos are far and away the most atrocious I have ever seen. My win rate there is much higher than at UB. Seems like these guys have studied final 6 play at WPT and think moving all in with questionable hands (ala Gus Hansen et al.) is the way to play. Hope it lasts a long time. I say, keep these guys coming. | ||

| I've been playing on average 10-15 sit n go's a day for the past month and a half, and this was by far the most absurd game. Usually most games have 2-3 people who will make a bad all in call with something like A10, and perhaps 1 that just loves to bluff everything. but when your entire table is this way, its a sight to see..... unfortunately I didnt get any cards to do any better than 3rd. | ||
