| Is gambling legal in Florida? I have a family holiday booked there, and was hoping for a little action. If it is legal, where can I play?, if it isnt legal, where can I play? LOL | ||

| Indian reservations have a silly form of poker. where everyone must ante preflop. and max each hand can reach is something like 10 dollars. it doesnt justify the rake and you'll lose money in no time requiring to ante each hand. | ||

| They have some cardrooms that are on Indian reservations but the problem with them is once the pot reaches a certain amount of money, you're not allowed to bet any more. They also have boats that go out and you can play poker there, but neither one IMO is really that great, but it's probably going to be your only choice so good luck! | ||

| Yes. You can play at the Seminole casinos. A friend of mine works there and claims that there are no winners at poker. They rake $2.50 out of every pot which has a maximum total value of $10, so I believe it. They also have tournaments that you might be able to make money in, but they are rebuy tournaments and all of the rebuy money goes to the house. Which means that the house usually makes more from spreading the tourney than there is in the prize pool. So again, it is doubtful that you could make any money there. | ||

| As of Tuesday, August 5 the poker laws in Florida have changed. Now no pot limit, $2 max bet (3 raises per round). Most poker rooms at horse, dog tracks and jai-alais will start the changes on Wednesday, August 6. Several poker rooms are expected to reopen: Pompano Park Harness, Dania Jai-Alai. Indians are expected to follow the State law. No change on boats---still off shore and sea sick. | ||
