| Just a message to get this off my chest ~ my stupidity that is. Ladbrokes Poker were running a 25th million hand bonus this morning (04:20 est) with 1000 to hte winner and 100 to all others at table. I logged on and booked into 3 NL small limit tables to try and hit the hand. The usual shouts of "fold" "quick fold " were going on and generally I was playing a little faster than usual and playing tight. We got to near the big hand and on one table i got JJ on the button , few calls of $1 and I thought Id clean up and go all-in. at this time I was also switching to the other tables to fold on those , when I got JJ again on one of the others. Switched to the table where I was all in to see everyone had folded. Good. Switched back to the 2nd table with JJ to see someone go all-in with $50 and the next person follow all-in with $40 , thought I wont bother with this and just fold out . The moment after I hit that fold button , I checked the hand number and YES you guessed it , we'd hit the big 25,000,000 I shouted in distress as I watched the flop come all small cards with paired 9s. Someone had hit a 3, so winner won with a miserable 2 pair 9s & 3s. My Js would have held up and I would have been a $1000 to the good and entry into a single table tourny for $5000. My wife heard my strangled cries for help and came upstairs thinking something was wrong with the baby and couldn't understand it when I told her it was a mistake at the poker.WOMEN? I dont know the point of posting this , I mean I'm a $100 up , but I am going to spend the rest of the day thinking what could have been. | ||

| Ouch! I guess you don't need me to tell you that you should have been paying closer attention to the hand numbers, huh? Well, hey - you're $100 richer. Most people on the site got nothing at all. | ||

| Take your free hundred dollars and don't think of it as losing $900. You were good that time, but what if you were in there and somebody had a 9 ... and milked you out of the $100 that you made for losing the hand. If you're really unhappy with the $100 send it to me and I'll give it a good home. | ||

| I disagree stdioh. He's risking $50 to win $900 with JJ. I'd take 18 to 1 on a 3 way all in with JJ any day of the week and then some. I think the only time this bet could be unprofitable is if someone else also held JJ! Lee | ||

| Now that I think more about it, I'm surprised that more people weren't all in with him. 18 to 1 is worth it with just about any hand, considering that the first to act could've pushed in with ANYTHING hoping that no one noticed it was the golden hand and wanted to steal the blinds and the grand. It's not nearly as likely for him to be up against aces or kings here as random garbage, and JJ does just fine against that. | ||

| yes the table no is up in the corner , but was playing 3 tables at once and folding quickly that I hadnt realised we had hit it till the moment AFTER i folded. Obviously I would have called with JJ , in fact the correct thing here is to call with almost anything , it was a 6 handed table. | ||

| Last post here as I am trying to forget it ~ not much to learn here for the future. But the other big thing I missed was entry to a $5000 tourny for all winners of hands 24,100,000 and 24,200,000 so on . A single 10 seater tourny for (I imagine) general players who hit it lucky and probably not Tourny players. A very good chance for me to have a shot at the $2500 winners prize in what equates to a single $500 buy-in table. ( Not something I have the bankroll to experience ) I shall be watching to see how "pkrtp" or whatever he was called does. | ||

| well PUt it this way, At least they weren't giving away 20,000 Dollars or something then you'd really be kicking yourself in the ass... lol | ||
