| similar to playing soft against your friend on-line. they discourage any form of teaming. I believe chip dumping is like leaving your hand because your friend has told you that his hand will beat your hand r vice versa. | ||

| from what i have read it is intentionally dumping chips off to a partner in a game, either to keep them in a game or give them a bunch of chips so that they can get a big chip lead. it is a form of collusion. | ||

| Its what I meant by vice versa. A team generally a dou will set themselves at appropriate seats to trap players into action. There by using MSN messenger r the like to que each other if they have the nutz are near the nutz, then they will go into collusion by creating a raise war. Capping each other every street in hopes that others are willing to participate. They then split the money. | ||

Such as in a tournament, you would play a hand heads-up against a friend and then fold to a bet on the end to "dump chips" to him to help him to stay in. | Indeed, but that doesn't stop it from being done even at the top levels. I'm thinking of Men Nguyen here. Not only does he get involved in interesting hands with his "students", but there have been numerous accusations of them sneaking tournament chips off the table and to eachother in the john. And if memory serves, one hotel found tournament chips in Men's hotel room. | ||

Chip dumping means throwing off your chips, often during a tournament, to another player, presumably someone with whom you are in collusion, to build up your partner's stack. This of course comes at the expense of the others, and is illegal. It can happen online or in B&Ms, and is not limited to tournaments. I'll try to add the term to the dictionary at the next revision. | Chip Dumping: When making a bet with one hand while the other hand clutches a tin of Pringles, suddenly bumped (hard) by a passerby, causing you to deposit your bet and 20 potato chips in the center of the table. One player drawls casually, "Looks like a clear case of chip dumping there dealer" flintsword | ||
