| As Roy says, the concept is the same. You go all-in when you put every chip you have in the pot. Here is the difference in games: 1- In NL games, you can go all-in at any time. There is no limit to the size of your bet excpet the number of chips you have at the table during that hand. 2- In PL games, you can go all-in any time, provided you do not have more chips in front of you then there currently are in the pot. So, if the pot currently has $100, and you have $105, the largest bet you can make is $100, and you will have $5 left over. If you are raised, you can then go all-in with your last $5 to call ($5 only) of the raise. Or you can bet your last $5 on the next betting round. 3- In Limit, you can go all-in at any time, as long as you do not have more chips than the size of the bet for the game. So, if you are playing a 20-40 game, and have $20 or less left, you can push all-in during any betting round. If you have $50 left, you can call preflop, or raise preflop, but will still not be all-in unless you get reraised and decide to call your last $10; or you can put that last $10 in on the next betting round. I hope this makes some sense. -Moz "I smoke 'cause I'm hoping for an early death, and I need to cling to something." | ||

| It is the same. No player can ever be raised out of a pot by not having enough money. Whenever a player is all in there is a sidepot arranged for the remaining players. If there are multiple players all-in (with different amounts of chips) then there are multiple sidepots. | ||
