All of us at UPF would like to welcome Barry Tanenbaum as a new poster.....Posting under Barry T (I would never be able to learn to spell that last name either :-)

Barry is currently the biggest winner in the 30-60 Hold'em games in Las Vegas, playing against the tough competition at the Bellagio...A very intelligent and knowledgeable fellow, Barry is a great player, teacher and writer, having taught Bridge for many years.

Barry also plays Hi-Lo games and was a featured speaker at this years World Poker Conference....as this years Hold'em expert.

I think you will find Barry's writings entertaining, useful and correct.

Learn from the best at UPF!

Welcome, Barry T. If you are as good as Roy says and as faithful as he has been in sharing your knowledge, you will certainly be a welcome addition.

Roy has been most helpful recently, but Mike Carrow (as in Caro) is AWOL. :-=)

Hi. Thank you for the nice introduction and the nice welcome messages. At least, so far nobody has posted one of those "I played with him last night an he can't play" messages :-). Maybe becasue I won last night.

I do play around five nights a week at the Bellagio, usually the $30-$60. If you are in town, ask the floor and they will point to me. I am typically there from around 9-10PM to 3-4AM.

My articles appear monthly in CardPlayer (even numbered issues, so you know which ones to read), I try to stick to playing strategy and analysis (at least so far).

I will not mention the lessons (very often) but I do offer them as private lessons either in person or over the phone. So far, all of my students seem very happy with the outcome.

Please forgive typos. I try real hard, but they somehow reinsert themselves after I hit the send button.

How do we get in touch with you regarding over-the-phone lessons?

Welcome there Chief!

Ironically enough, I was just reading your article on "Two Call-Reraises in One Hand" from a previous Cardplayer magazine.

... Then I thought, Hmmmmm, I do that sometimes! (Note to self, never play passive aggressive against Barry)

Speaking of that article - it was one of the most interesting CP contributions I have ever read. Kudos on some great writing, Barry!
