| Can anyone help clarify something for me. As you may have seen from previous posts, I am fairly new to poker. In 7 card stud, the two down cards and first up card are dealt and the first round of betting starts. Can someone tell me when the this round of betting ends? Is it after all raises have been called - or is it till the betting goes round each player once...... I have looked into and fully understand the rules of the game but none of the websites have clarified at which point the first (or any rounds of betting for that matter) ends and when the next card is dealt. This is because no doubt that it is a dumbass question but i would a appreciate it if someone can clear this up for me....Oscar | ||

| two cards are dealt face down and one card face up to each player. Then there is the anti. This is generally made by the person holding the lowest face up card. if this is the case, the person with the lowest card must anti. then the betting continues with the player to his left. | ||

| first round of betting end like anyother variation of poker. This is when all players have either checked, folded, or called the bet/raise. | ||

| Swag is correct, but I should mention the cap. Usually a cap is 4 complete bets. So if a player brings in, the next player raises, etc, when there are 4 complete bets on the table there can be no more raising. Betting round then ends when there are no more raises. And of course a player cannot raise his own bet/raise. | ||
