I'm on a $10.00 SNG on Party just now. It gets down to heads up. I have approx. 2400 in chips and the other guy has 5600. 100/200 blinds. First hand I'm on small blind with rags but call, he folds. 2nd hand I check, he folds. This continues for 20 straight hands. Hand 21, he raises, I call, he looses. One more check and I win, last hand he goes all-in, I win and it's over. I'm at a loss on this one. The guy played fairly well before this but this action makes no sense whatever. Anyone experience this before? I'm wondering if maybe he didn't loose connection and the software just folded him each hand until he connected again or something. But, if that happened, wouldn't Party know and allow him time to get connected again? I've seen them do that on a money game. Any thoughts?

I think they fold you if disconnected in tournaments!

The guy may have had to go or something and just logged off.

This has happened to me before. I've made it to the final two people, then had a RL emergency and had to leave. It's tough to do, knowing you're giving away the potential profit between 2nd and 1st place, but it's better than walking away when you're in 4th place!

I've seen this before, a couple of times. Usually it means a disconnect. Once, I just played it out like you did until I got all the chips. Once I was playing against someone I know and play against frequently. I know he is a real competitor, and would not give up until he got connected again. After taking his blinds for about 3 or 4 hands, and realizing something was wrong, I hit my "sit-out" button and let the computer swap our blinds back and forth until he came back. He was back in less than three minutes, and we were able to finish the game normally.

Once, I had to leave suddenly, and I just told the guy quickly in the chat window, sorry, I gotta go, its an emergency, just take all the blinds and you can have first place. Then I logged out. Sucks to have to do that, but ya gotta do what you gotta do.
