| Just wanted to take a few moments to gripe and get it out of my system. Went and played a little 1-4-8-8 tonight on the strip. I'm not real fond of that betting structure, but it was the only game I could find that I wouldn't have to wait an hour to sit in on. Let me just say that tonight I couldn't buy a hand to save my life. I was dealt a pocket pair once (kings) and when I bet it out everyone folded. The rest of the night I was consistently dealt garbage. I'd sit and watch the board after I folded my hand, and I never made a damn thing, even when I was out of the hand. My strongest hand of the night was two pair. Woohoo! It was very frustrating, especially considering the guy to my right was raking in pots like it was going out of style. After about 4 hours I left ready to pull my hair out and a little lighter in the wallet. That being said I hit the blackjack table on my way out and made back double my poker money in about 8 minutes. Guess it could have ended on a worse note. Ok, I'm done bitching. :) | ||

| the exact *opposite* happened to me last weekend at the taj in atlantic city. in the span of an hour i had 3 sets that all got action to the river. to cap it off i turned a full house that became four of a kind on the river (!) that got *serious* action from a dude who thought the full house he just made was top dog. whoops. i was riding high and stopped by the BJ table and it was an absolute blood bath! i doubled down against a dealer's 6 like 5 times just to watch them make 6-card 21's. outside of that i don't think i was dealt anything over 14 the entire time. it was excruciating. here's to good luck at both poker *and* blackjack!!! aces all around please..... | ||
