Any info on Caesar's Indiana?, Machinegun68, 22. Jul 2003 22:01 | ||

| Hello All. I live in Cincinnati- is Caesar's near Louisville the closest legal cardroom to me? Has anybody played there? What is the action like there? What kind of limits do they offer in Hold 'em? I was thinking about making the drive to Detroit as well. What is the action like up there or in East Chicago? I am ideally looking for a low (2/4 or 3/6 game). Anybody here live in the Midwest and can offer any advice? Thanks in advance! | ||

| I play at Caesars quit often. The limits for holdem are 3-6, 5-10, 10-20, 15-30. I don't know what day you plan on going up, but if it's a friday or saturday GO EARLY. if you want to play in the 3-6 because they only open up one 3-6 game and the list for it will be 20 deep. Action in the 3-6 is usually very passive with very little pre-flop raising and alot of players in to see the flop. You need a good hand to win. | ||

| I have gone to Caesar's several times. I live in southern IN. Unless they have changed things, they do not have a 3-6 game but a 2-4 game. I'd rather it be 3-6. But the last two times I have been there I have had to wait over 3 hours to get on the 2-4 table. Last time I even got there at 4:30 and didn't get on until almost 8. They have 12 tables which are usually split between Stud and HE with about one Omaha game going. And that is usually a higher limit. Next time I go I am going to put my name down for the 2-4, 5-10, and te 1-5 Stud just so I don't have to wait around for ever. And passive calling stations is a good description of this group. However, the management isn't the friendliest. A bit overworked I would say. A friend of mine says he won't go back they were so rude to him last time. Our only other choice is Casino Aztar in Evansville, which is nice but small. But they do have free snacks and a bad beat jackpot. :) Also, be careful about the time. Caesar's looks closer than it is. Once you get off the interstate it takes another 20-30 minutes to get there. TKarrde "The next best thing to playing and winning, is playing and losing." | ||

| Harrah's in East Chicago has a good card room too, although they keep the temperature so low in there I half expect to see Rocky working out on sides of beef. | ||

| Kewl. I need to check it out. Now if they would only add a couple tables. Maybe an Omaha Hi Low game. Do you know if they ever do tournaments there? TKarrde "The next best thing to playing and winning, is playing and losing." | ||

| Thanks guys. I'm also interested in visiting Casino Aztar. Same limits there? I would be going to Caesar's sometime during the day or on weeknights (Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday night) I have no life obviously. Are these good times to play to be sure to get on a 3/6 table? I'm sure the competition is better earlier though. I'm itching to go to a real cardroom, Louisville is only about an hour and a half away. Here in Cincinnati my only choices are a regular home game (maniacally loose) and Catholic Church festivals on the weekend, they throw $1-$3 stud almost every Fri and Sat night. Gotta love the Catholics! Can't really complain about these weekly fish-fests, but hey, I want a real game every once in a while :) | ||

| Aztar is limited to only 8 tables. And the lowest HE limit they have is 5/10. I think I have seen 3/6 on the list but they never spread it. The nice thing is they usually have 2 or 3 tables of the 5/10 going. But I think it is a forced move. When the original table opens up they move someone from the prior table. I actually am not positive. Never played there enough or long enough to find out. TKarrde "The next best thing to playing and winning, is playing and losing." | ||

| i dont know how many times or how long you've been going to caesars but they use to have 4 tournaments a month. Every other sunday and then on every monday. The problem is Holly (the room manager) got a job in Vegas and the tournaments stopped. But i talked to them this week and the tournaments are suppose to start back soon | ||

| When i had called and talked to them they had just replaced the poker room manager and said I should call back in a month or so after the transition. Sounds like I need to make another call. THANKS! TKarrde "The next best thing to playing and winning, is playing and losing." | ||
