| I'm wondering the same thing. NL is the first place you would see them go. I rarely see a 5-10 game with average pots in the $90-100 range lately and seldom even in the $80-90 range. I'm still finding 3-6 games in the $55-65 range but they seem harder to come by. I guess the games are still beatable, but I like them a lot better when they are lush. | ||

| I'm still seeing .50-1.00 games have pots in the high twenties. Take one of those and you can retire! on 22. Jul 2003 13:47 PairTheBoard wrote: > I'm wondering the same thing. | Yeah. I'm finding that the average player on UB is getting better too. No worries. It'll continue to dry up until the Aruba event in October gets broadcast on WPT (don't know when it'll air) ... then there will be a whole new harvest. | ||

| I guess they are still all at my tables. Still playing fishy 6 handed $2-4 games with players that call everything including 2 bets cold with random hands. Last night, unless I had the stone cold nuts, I got sucked out on the river and after a quick increase of my buyin from $100 to $150, after 2 hours, I had plummetted back down to $96 and called it a night out of utter frustration. I know these fishy games can be really lucrative but for me, I would rather play a 6 handed game with 2 total fish with big bankrolls, 2 good players and one mediocre player. You can then generally isolate the fishy players and take their bankrolls. But a whole table of clueless calling fish? Be preprared to either sit and fold hand after hand or take crazy bankroll swings trying to outplay them. My big weakness is that I give these players no credit at all and sometimes they actually do have real hands. Last night I called on the button with Ah9h after 3 players limped, the SB and the BB call. The flop comes As9dTh. UTG 1, 2 and 3 all check to me, I raise, SB folds, BB calls, UTG 1 calls, UTG2 calls, UTG 3 folds. Next card is a blank, I bet out again, everyone folds except UTG 2, he just calls. River is a blank, I bet again and just get flat called. UTG2 turns over AT. What can you do? I mean how could you know this guy had a hand? They all play every hand the same. This guy probably didn't reraise b/c he feared a set. So then I get pocket AA and the board was all blanks. I had reraised preflop and everyone called. But then when everyone checked to me on the flop and I raised, everyone folded. So my big hand pays off for $20, but I lose $10 on hands like the one before. I also got pocket AA later against an JJ. The guy called me all the way down and hit a J on the river for a win. Not really that much fun at the end of the day. Playing premium hands mostly against guys who are playing everything should be profitable over a period of hours, but the swings can be pretty irritating. Just venting here. I hate Party Poker. UB is much more fun. | ||
