| Not Even Close To Poker I usually play in a couple Fantasy Football leagues during the season. Have one at work going on its 4th year. With a live draft which is cool. Wondered if there were any football fans here that would be interested in forming a Poker League. Let me know and I will set it up. Most likely be done on Yahoo since it is about the only place you can set your league up for free anymore. TK | ||

| No, no, no, Dave. I'm talking about playing Fantasy Football but with a bunch of guys from here who like to play Poker. Sorry for the confusion. But it would be cool to have Fantasy Poker... just like I have played Fantasy Nascar. Each player has a weighted value. Each person selects their 5 picks within an allowance. | You got that right!!! I was learning about players and rookies thru boxscores, plus this was before you had digital satellite games....I used to have my big satellite dish in the backyard spinng to any game I could get...thought for sure I was creating a tornado out there, as much as I was checking games....LOL!!!!!! | ||

| Fantasy football is more fun since the advent of the internet...but it also created a much more level playing field. I used to pride myself on obtaining information not readily available by a click of the mouse. Now, unfortunatey, the slackers have caught up and hurt my edge. But, it does make the game more fun with real time stats while you watch on satellite tv. I used to have to run to the newstand to get USA today and hand calculate the stats to see if I won the day before. We didn't get our stats until around Thursday when the commissioner would send a fax to our offices. Everything was done by hand. ESPN was your lifeline on Sunday morning to see if a player was injured. | ||

| Tkardde: I am an avid Fantasy Football player too. It is hobby "1B" as poker is "1A". I am currently in 3 years and can boast of many fantasy football championships. Not sure if I want to increase my commitment beyond 3 leagues, as I am worried about how 3 leagues will cut into my poker time as it is. But if you run your league as well as your tournaments, I am at least interested in hearing about it. I can always drop one of my other leagues. MR | ||

| I would be interested in playing. I think the free Yahoo leagues are pretty good, and they don't spam your email, which is a huge bonus. The only thing you have to put up with is the annoying pop-up adds. | ||

| What you CAN do is set up a poker league at: http://www.myleague.com and play in Yahoo rooms. Case's Ladder will keep stats for you. League is free. If you wish to restrict to invite only, as for UPF members only, set it up as a private league. gl | ||
