Kinda funny in its own way....

I play lots of tournaments and really enjoy them and have been very successful. The tournament play is much different then a table game. When I do play table games I try to play $6-12 or $10-20 at the minimum so I am not playing with Fisherman Fred or River-Boy.

Anyway I was at UB waiting for a tourney to start and decided to play some .25-.50 holdem since my account was depleted. Got to the table and one guy was raising everything every hand. Then another person was doing the same.
I got pissed and decided to do it also just for a few hands and just for fun. Turns out about 6 or so started doing this also.

So imagine this, cards are dealt and a person is up to bat. Mean while 80% of the rest of the table has the "Raise Any" option checked. Well as soon as this person made his call the chips flew, seats rotated fast because of the "Raise Any" that everyone had.
Within seconds it was back to this person with a max call. He probably was saying "What the?". This went on for a few hands and I was laughing my ass off because it was funny to see the chips fly so fast with everyone on the auto raise button.
I have seen fast raising but never the entire table.

Well needless to say the table was an official slot machine at this point.

Anyway it sure broke up the monotony and was humorous for its short time.

I do not think I will be trying this at the $10-$20 games anytime soon.

Good Luck All!

Haha...that's hilarious, Slate. I have to say I've never seen a table THIS maniacal, even at the microlimits!

A friend and I used to sit at .25-.5 and play maniacally every once in awhile, when we wanted to blow steam. We'd raise anything preflop, and just keep betting/raising until we were met with resistance. people were actually leaving the table because of us....hehe. We played mostly $1-2, and we went through a period during which we were raising every 27o there, just for kicks. We'd then crack up over the hands in which we caught two pair and busted some guy's big pocket pair. Tee hee :O)

(Of course, all this was back in the day I had over a grand in my UB account. Now, with a precious $200, I have to play a little smarter :O)
