| Playing $25 NL. I am EP, with AJo. I raise to $1. 4 callers including SB and BB. Flop: Th, 8d, 6s I bet 3, I get two callers. SB and BB fold. I didn't have anything, but since I raised pre-flop, I wanted to represent strength. I think pot was $5, so I bet more than 1/2 pot. 9 7 would be a bad hand for me to see, but thinking who would play that after a raise? Turn. Jh Now I have top pair. I bet strong. $7. Again 1/2 the pot. I still have 2 callers. I am pretty sure I have best hand. Don't think anyone is holding QQ or KK or AA. Just a gut feeling. Should I have bet $14? River: 9h Oh boy. 3 hearts on the board. Th 8d 6s Jh 9h, But they are runner runner after heavy betting. (is 1/2 pot bets heavy? Shouldn't that scare of a flush or str8 draw?) I lost to a flush, jack high to the first guy that called after me. Wasn't he getting terrible odds? He had 3h 6h. Lowest pair after the flop, with unlikely flush draw. 2 cards could already beat his 6 6. I checked the river, and he bet $11.30. Now, I called it. I suspected a flush. But it was runner runner. Was this just a bad beat or should I have bet the pot on the turn? | ||
