| It's been so long since I won a large online tourney I had forgotten how good it feels. Just played a $10+1 PLHE event with 164 players and snatched first away from the heavy chipleader in a roaring heads up finale. Life is good. Even better, second place is from Toronto. Nothing like Canadians coming in 1 and 2 ... like it *should* have been the other night. :) I will say that the competition was not so steep. I think I'm going to start playing more pot limit tourneys. It is a lot easier to avoid getting yourself into trouble than in a NL HE event. I think pot limit suits my style of play a little more closely than no limit. Though the bulk of my tournament experience in in NL and I'm sure that there are a lot of subtle differences I don't see. Anyhow, I guess I just dropped in here tonight to brag - sorry if it is a little gauche. The funny thing is, the profit constitutes a good winning session at Brantford, but I would leave that feeling emotionally neutral. This, on the other hand, was a real pickmeup. | ||

| Hey stdioh! WTG! Glad to hear it. I think it's a good sign when you can enter an event you are not familiar with and perform very well. I have never played PL, and have been tempted. With some of the super-low buy-ins, I may give that a try myself sometime soon. -Moz "May your chips never fall from a cow." | ||

| Well done. There are not that many differences between the two games. In fact, playing NL before PL probably helped you by influencing your betting patterns. | ||

| What really bugs my ass is UB adding that "pet bot" button. It is causing so many terrible players to play better. I loved it when you'd be playing with a massive pot and somebody would make a minimum bet, followed by somebody making a minimum raise. It allowed you to say, "Sure, I'll take off another card and look for that gutshot to the nut straight ... I don't care what you have - thanks for giving me odds" ... well ... I wouldn't say it, but I would think it. And then I would love it when somebody would moan about me hitting a gutshot. Yup. I'm the fish in the tourney. | ||
