PokerTracker or StatKing, beigs, 18. Jul 2003 09:02

I need to start keeping better track of how I'm playing and I wanted to get one of the tracking software programs. Any one have a strong opinion towards Poker Tracker or Stat King?

I use Poker Charts now but it doesn't do my hand analysis.

I'm also interested in hand analysis software. I downloaded the trial of Poker Tracker at one point, but now I play exclusively at UB and I don't think it works with them. If there is a way to make it work, please tell me or tell me a better software pakage to use.

Poker Tracker works only at Party, Empire, Paradise, and Poker Stars. I love it, and it has helped my ring game immensely. The tournament tracker portion will be out any day. I already have the BETA version of it but have not tried it yet.

I just finished the Lucky Dollar Party tourny, and I will go back there to get the hand histories and see how they work. I will post here again later today.

Hi,. StatKing does not do hand analysis either. It is a RESULTS analysis tool. And a very good one. But if you are looking for something to tell you how many flops you saw, or what % of hands you took to the river, StatKing is useless.

Personally, I question athe usefulness of a number of these stats. iI will start a thread about this and see what everyone thinks.

When you say a 'Results anaysis tool' do you mean it'll tell you how often you won with AA or how often you layed down AK etc...? That's kind of what I'm looking for. Something to help find out which hands are marginal and I'm playing poorly. Does Wilson Turbo do this for you as well? I know I have leaks that I'm trying to plug up. Thanks

HI. No StatKing analyses Dollar (or whatever currency you play in) results, telling you a lot about the money you are (or are not) making, when, where, and how reliable your results are. It does nothhing with hands or hand values.
