| Very fun tournament, guys. Was quite the adrenalin rush sitting at the final table with all the cheering & *\o/*\o/*ing and reraising and rebluffing and etc. etc. etc. My comp decided to come up with an "illegal operation" at one point on the final table, and I was worried I'd get booted, but instead I just lost my chat for awhile until I realized that the little error message box was hangin' out behind my UB window. My comp sux...it loves to spontaneously freeze and reboot, a good two or three times/day. :-/ All in all, seems the luck was with me tonight. Had some goods hands, hit some good flops, made some good folds. I misplayed one hand against Chase in which I weakly went for his blind holding AX. Missed the flop, bluffed at it, and he didn't fall for it. I ended up check/folding the river. Dumb dumb dumb, but lesson learned - don't go up against the solid playing big stacks!!! A few hands later (or earlier? cant' quite remember) a key hand occured. Had QQ in late position, blinds either 150-300 or 200-400. Mike raised min, TheRock came back for 3000 (!!!!) and I folded as we were on the bubble and chances were too good of being up against a bigger pair. Turns out Mike had KK. Funny, 'cause if Rock didn't reraise, I would have likely nusted on that hand :) Great heads up match at the end, Mike! That was one tough competition! Great game all, and looking forward to the next one! | ||

| I guess the student does not beat the teacher tonight! But great game Wren.. I was so happy to see the third queen on the turn, but that smile quickly disappeared when I saw the diamond on the river! But, I dont think there was anything I could do about that, I think I played that hand well. Thanks to everyone on UPF. My skills would not have improved without your help on this forum, and of course Phil Hellmuth's book :) I learned alot from playing tonight like how people LOVE to steal blinds. I cant wait to see the history to see who was bluffing and trying to steal my blinds! haha, but great game everyone. I really enjoyed it, and congrats to you Wren. You put all the right moves on me and made me laydown some marginal hands. Mike www.pokeranon.com | ||

| The diamond came on the turn - it was the queen of diamonds. Wren was up/down and had a flush draw, making her a favourite to win the hand on the flop. | ||

| Congrats Wren! You were on fire last night, I was hangin up there at the top with you guys for a bit but then I had to self-destruct with a suited connector. Hubris, I guess. You played great up until the time I left, way to protect your lead. | ||

| Tx noise :) The cards just fell the right way for me last night. Every one of the all-in situations I got involved in worked out in my favour (It felt good to get in with A-big vs A-X and NOT see the X spike on the flop! Seems that happens waaay too often :-/) I did feel on my game though, aside from a brief period during which I almost bubbled myself out after being one of the bigger stacks. Yeah, the way you went out kinda sucked, but you got your money in with the best of it. You'll be back & ready to fight for the next one! | ||

| I think it was my bad to play the hand from EP in the first place. He had some outs and a fair amount of his medium stack already in, so the call of my big bet wasn't so bad. I don't consider it a bad beat. I was trying to trap, and sprung it the trap on myself! When all my aggressive plays are working and I'm running good, I tend to get a bit over-aggro sometimes when I should tighten up and protect my lead. You seemed to be doing a good job of laying back once you got the big stack and waiting for good situations. | ||

| Your Welcome Wren I knew my hand was toast when he actually called that bet.... even your thinking about it really worried me. I made a really bad move. TheRock | ||
