Busted in 12th. Terrible at the end there for me. Got folded off two preflop raisers, melted my stack down to 900, had to chip up, went for a small blind steal into Wren at a 6 handed table with As3s. She called instantly with AQo and even though I caught my 3 it wasn't good enough with a board of 4KKA3 Wow was our table ever slow. That was hand 99 for us.

I call foul on not getting to sit with Waddy or Beigs :)

Great stuff everybody. I see that Wren is the chipleader, so hopefully she'll be finished up with the nonwinners by the time I get home :)

Just be glad I wasn't hammering your blinds!

I'd much rather have somebody steal at my blinds when I have cards than have them limp at my blinds when I don't. Actually I think you played a very solid game, but I think that you limped against the blinds too much. I will generally either steal or fold in that situation. There are a few hands I'll limp with on the SB, but not many at all.

I thought long and hard about my strategy going into the game, When I saw that I was going to be your small blind everytime.

Knowing you are a solid player, I decided to do more "limping" with the intention to "trap", rather than steal. Using "Sun Tzu" methodology, I figured your defensive skills against blind stealing would be quite strong. (For all new players, this is where you adjust your play to the situation) When evenly skilled or outmatched, don't lock horns. Not too mention I got crappy cards in my blinds, and would have gotten eaten alive. (I actually stole "almost" all the hands I played in general. Small advantages of being a Rock. Heck, I didn't see Pockets once. My best hand was A-Ko. I was getting really crappy hands all night. )

I was really hoping to catch you slippin', and then bring the pain ... ONLY, I never caught a monster when you bet out. In fact, the only entanglement you and I had was when I had top pair, and you got trip 5's.

Thanks for the compliment on the game play though. When there was 11 players left, I pretty much put my main focus on making the Final table. I "REALLY, REALLY" wanted to make that table!!! That is why I mucked the Q-Js to TK in my blind. A raise would have put me all in.
