| I am headed to Atlantic City August 8th- 10th and would like to find some Holdem tourneys Friday or Saturday. I have tried to get schedules from the casinos, but none have responded. Any regulars out there that have a tourney they like to play in AC? Also, I am staying at Trump and like their cardroom, but would like to wander a little bit on this trip. Any suggestions on where I wander to? I like up to 5-10 but could be coaxed into a 10-20 game.... | ||

| Hey, The Tropicana has tournaments on a daily basis. The Friday night tournament is N/L hold-em and the turn out for that is usually pretty good. Their phone # is 1-888-POKER AC. The Tropicana spreads low limit hold-em up to $7.50-15.00. They use pink chips for that game and each chip has only a value of $2.50 so the pots will have a ton of chips in them and that game is always worth playing....lots of action! They also spread a pot limit game every Friday and Saturday if you're interested in that. Most of the action and availability will be right at where you're staying though, at the Trump Taj Mahal. Don't forget to check out the new poker room at the casino that just opened up this month. It's called The Borgota but it is not on the strip. It's on the marina side by Harrah's, but it's only about 8 minutes from the Taj Mahal and it's supposed to be real nice from what I have heard from some friends of mine. | The Borgota doesn't even seem to have a website. Very frustrating. I'm going to stop by there next time I'm in AC. I would imagine it would have good action being new to the scene. on 17. | My friend said the poker room was really nice and they had some good games as well. But unfortunately, the Taj just corners the market for poker in AC. I hope the Borgota does really well with their poker room cause the atmosphere at the Taj is less than it could be. I guess I'm getting too spoiled by all the really nice/clean casinos in Cali and Vegas.....not to mention the customer service in Cali is the best bar none! | ||

| The Taj doesn't hold tournaments on a weekly basis....only an anual event in November/December. I think you may have been referring to the Tropicana's tournaments. They spread them everyday except Saturadys. | ||
