| So I've heard that big name players like Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke play on Ultimate Bet, so I'm leaning towards signing up an account there. I like how they offer the play money option as well because I would want to watch games and test things out before actually committing to the money. How does this site stack up to the others? Graphics/Software?? Level of skill? Friendly? I take any and all suggestions/comments. | ||

| Don't base the play level of the "play money" to be consistent with the "real money". Granted the low limits have many, many callers ... it is still quite different than the real money. Especially the "no limit". Good Luck, Scrubbie "Good night now Beigs" | ||

| I think UB is one of the hardest to get bonus money released. 10 UB points release $1 bonus. You get 1 UB point for every $1 raked. A $5 pot only gets .50 UB points. So if my math is correct, to get $50 in bonus money at UB, you need 500 UB points, which mean $500 in raked hands Where a $5 pot at party gets a $0.50 rake which equal 1 raked hand. To get $50 in bonus, you need 250 raked hands, which would be $125 raked. Put simply, I have collected almost $200 in bonus from party and empire while only collecting $30 of $100 at UB. | ||

| I have played at several sites and so far like UB the best. From the software side I like it quite a bit and it plays faster then some sites I have been on. It is harder to get the bonus $$ released though. | ||

| Playing Paradise Poker and Poker Stars it took me a while to get used to the interface. I like the check that shows on all who check and some other options. In tournys I live the stats that show up and tell you what place you are in. After a week I favor the interface. Players...no question some of the best. I have found UB players more tough and in the long run this is good. Of course I have been up against callers and crazy players, but all in all the players are more pro. | ||

Personally?......I'd rather play with the fishies at Party Poker! I don't wanna play against pros'. 4 POKER | ||

| True, but in the long run if you plan to play poker for a long time the pros are the way to go. When I play with the fishes it tends to ruin my game because I get pissed at river boy who beats my top hands time and time again. I start playing marginal hands fishing myself. I know its discipline but in pro games I find myself getting a bad beat and not feeling bad cause that was the way to play. There was a $3-6 table game my brother and I were playing before a n-l torunamnet. One guy was building a huge stack winning on 2,9 off-suit, etc. Everytime my brother went up against him with AK etc, he would get a beaten by 2 pair from this guy. This guy though he was the best card player in the world. My brother was fuming from this guys cocky additude. Finnaly he beat this guy with a hand that held up, but 90% of the time river boy would win, because the game turned into a big slot machine with no skill. Later when the tourny started about 40 mins into it that guy was knocked out and my brother ended up winning it. I have nothing against playing with the fishes but to me real poker is with the pros who won't draw you out 99% of the time. | ||
