Depends what kind of a player you are. But, a bankroll of 1000 big bets, regardless of how good/poor you are relative to your competition, that should give you plenty of $$ to survive a few rancid runs of cards.

Hi John

If you don't spend out of your bankroll...then 300 big bets should be fine.....If you lose that much...take a break and go work on your game!

300 BB/hour if you are a low standard deviation player - a tight solid player. If your style is loose agressive then you will be a lot swingier, so I would say that 500 BB is a more appropriate "unbustable" roll.

John,

Please take this the right way because I'm trying to help while still being realistic with you.

I think if you have a very low win rate than you would need an unlimited bankroll. You say that you want your bankroll to last forever...well that's difficult if you're not a winning player. Grant it, in time, you may be....but by just going on your present results, IMHO no set amount of BB requirements would be sufficiant.

But If you're eager to play right now than start off with around 300 BB and if you lose that, try not to invest any more until you have studied up a bit.

I would suggest that you read more books so you may obtain a better and more clearer approach to the game.

If you are currently playing, than I wish you the best.....I hope you have good results........and if you currently are not able to succeed, than I hope you don't lose to much in the learning process.

Take care,
