How many big bets should I look for in Avg Pot...

For Hold em?

Omaha 8?

For hold'em, I think it's a personal preference. Some people look for big pots, I tend to look for small pot sizes. I play really low limit, but small pots usually mean that not everyone is taking the flop and going to the river. I hate crapshoot games like that. 6 or 7 big bets is comfortable for me.

I don't play a lot of Omaha, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but since you're usually drawing to the nuts, you want the pots as big as possible. You want all those people pumping money in when they are drawing practically dead since there is no schooling effect. It's not uncommon for a few players to hold all the draws and everyone else is getting sucked along for the ride with inferior hands because they don't know any better.
