| I am OUT! It looks like the squeakiest wheel gets the grease. The resident pros on UPF smell blood in the water and want more money out of us fish. It is getting more and more difficult to find a Limit Tournament anymore. Same reason as above: The pros do even better at No Limit. Too much angle shooting for me. Thanks 4 POKER for your many informative posts. The "defending KK" post was outstanding and most helpful and confirmed what I had already found out the expensive way. Turning down KK and any other second pair, when it is appropriate (which is most of the time) when an A or K is boarded), has been one hugh leak in my sinking boat. Thanks to others here that have posted, too. 4 POKER's posts seem to have been more helpful to me because he takes the time to answer in more detail. It always bugs me when someone like Sklansky, Malmuth, and other highly knowledgeable people say "Do you see why". Why don't they go ahead and say "why". I dont take the cookie cutter approach anymore, thanks to books like Carson's that makes one think about concepts, etc. Sorry for the long rant. It didnt start out to be a long post, but somehow it ended up that way :-) Don Quixote | ||

| Sorry to hear that Don. I wanted to make it a casual event too. But trying to go with the flow. I really expect it to be a $10 thing now. As you can tell, I'm not very good at organizing this thing. Too much "power to the people". LOL But I don't think they are wanting money from the fishes as much as they are wanting as much money from UB as possible. And I don't blame them. | You're doing a very good job of organizing the tournemnt, keeping everyone informed; and trying to satisfy as many people as possible. Of course, you can't satisfy everyone. That's just the way it goes. The best you can hope for is that the people who don't get exactly thier own way won't blame you, and won't be rude about it. Personally, with extra money being injected into the tournament, I felt like uppping it to $10 was the right thing to do. Of course that's just my opinion. But many thanks, I hope you realize that we do appreciate all your effort. Jav | ||
