| Yesterday night, at the urging of vwchik, I entered the Round one freeroll at www.bugsysclub.com. I have already qualified for the finals, but she asked, I follow ... Stdioh understands ... :) 500+ players, just an absolute monster show of a tournament. I eventually make the final table and there is "the world's luckiest Holdem player" ... kid_river. Absolutely fearless and surprise, surprise, chip leader often in the tournament. I saw this player pull off hands that defy belief, but nothing compared to the final table hand. Since we all made the final table, everyone gets a free entry to the weekend Round 2 multitable tournament that has cash prizes and 5 qualification spots to round 3 August 30th. Since everyone has qualified, the table gets very loose, but also, ... everyone wants to get kid_river, the chip leader and weasel-in-residence. It was so weird that I may have some details wrong, but here is what happened: kid_river is on the button. UTG goes All-in, UTG+2 raises All-in, a LP player goes ALL-in, and (OF COURSE) kid_river goes All-in with his KQ suited. Players turn up their cards, and in order, they have: AA, KK, AK, and kid_river has his KQ suited. Everyone is pretty happy thinking that the kid is - essentially - kvorked. The flop comes up Q Q Q, the turn is an A, and the river is some random card. GET OUT OF TOWN! kid_river: time to buy a lottery ticket. I am going to enjoy watching him play in Round 2. Anyone else seen a hand as bizarre? Hope you enjoyed it and, oh, I was in the BB and folded to all that power. flintsword | ||

| Most outrageous thing I have seen is at a multi table $500 freeroll on Empire. Limit HE. 300 players. At a full table when the chip leader at our table announces that he can not finish the tournament because he has to leave. He isn't going to give his chips away, but we can come get them. The blinds are 25/50. He has 3500 or so. Two others have 2000+ and I am at 1800. He raises every pot. Or caps if someone raises him. It is like is bet/raise button is stuck. A few people try to take his chips and he is not joking. Playing 7 3, 10 3, everything. He ended up busting out 3 people. He was catching runner runner two pair. Busting AA, KK, QQ hands. Getting flushes to peoples floped str8s. Truely amazing. He at one point was almost to 8000 in chips. Never once say him play a premium hand or pocket pair. He finally busted out like he promised. Funniest thing I have ever seen. | ||
