Anyone for a Poker game in Oregon?, Robbins, 4. Jul 2003 08:56

I'd like to be in a weekly or bi-weekly texas hold-em game in or around the Portland Oregon Metro Area. Are there any of these already going on? If not, is there anyone here who is interested in taking part in this?

Robbins,

I live in the Albany area and run 3 games a week including a single table tourney. Anyway, I have a couple friends up in Portland who are serious poker players. By serious, I not only mean decent players, but good people who understand the importance of having a good solid set of table rules. We try to stick as close to casino style rules as we can. I could hook you guys up in the future. What type of game and limits are you thinking of?

Thanks man, that sounds great.

I am looking for a texas hold-em low limit game but would consider others. I also think a solid set of table rules is important.

Let me know how to proceed. Also, I get out to Albany a few times per month, do you have any slots open and if so, what do you play etc?

Thanks!

wednesdays we play dealers choice(anything from baseball to chicago to hold em) nickel ante, fifty max bet(this is how we start, but dealer calls any limit), sundays vary, but on sundays we play one game only(sometimes no limit hold em w/ 2 quarter blinds) and on fridays i have started to do tourneys. I have a 50 cent table fee that will be bumped to a dollar in august. this fee goes to buying cards( new deck every game) and table maintenance. If ever any left, every so often we will have a high hand jackpot for a tourney. Keep in mind I just started doing some of these things, so they are kinda new, but the last one I held went really well. Generally a rebuy tourney with $1 or $2 buy ins. My friend up in portland doesn't get to make it very often and would really like to get into a game up there. As far as I know he is comfy with most any buy in up to $50 and maybe more depending on day.

Please email me.

Please disregard my original post. I found out that it is not legal to play a house game of poker in Oregon so there goes that idea.
