| I have not played on-line poker in some time now and last night I played a session of Omaha on Party Poker and noticed that at the end of the hand, before you even got to see all the cards that were turned up, the hands were "swished", right in the muck and they just split the pot so fast you couldn't even see what was out there. Normally they allow at least 10 or 12 seconds to pass so the other players can have time to observe all of their opponents cards, but not last night..... the hands got shown and BAMM, they were gone! What's with that? I know you can click on the "dealer summary" and check out the hands that way, but geez, somewhere in the middle would be ok, too, no? Another problem I had with them was this. After I had played that session and decided to play another one later.... they would deal me out automatically due to connection problems and then when it was my turn to post my blinds, it came up, post blind? If I was being dealt out, then why when it was time for my blinds to be posted up, were they asking me to auto post my blind? If you're dealt out due to a technical problem then shouldn't you be dealt out of all the hands now and not just the ones that were supposed to be your free hands...you know, the remaining EIGHT? Has anybody else had any of these problems lately? It's one thing for you to have a bad connection, but when the entire table is experiencing problems and they are not dealing you your entitled hands, they really should be doing something about that. It is really unfair in my opinion. I do hope they resolve their problems and quickly...this has been my favorite site thus far:) 4 POKER | ||

| I played last night too. (2nd failure to make the semi-finals, but I won't bring my dirty laundry in here.) I always thought it was my dial-up (stop laughing), but I'm constantly knocked off. Can we attribute it to traffic? | ||

| I don't know, maybe. I am currently usung a laptop through a dial up connection but I usually use a cable modem when I'm home so maybe that has something to do with it, I'm not sure either. It was just so aggravating, though. | ||

| Ever since Poker Party started adverising on TV connection problems, tjimeouts, and flop river-lag has been increasing. I think that their servers are just being overloaded with all the new people. They need to upgrade their system. It is very bad during the eveings, but during the day you seldom see it. At some online site, where they rate online casinos, it shows Party Poker has taken the lead over Paradise in players. Oh, one more thing. This could be a co-incidence, but ever since the thread about the "barry patch" at Party was started, the games have become less profitable. The "barries" are harder to find, and the 'patch' has been trampled on. ranwel | ||

| 4 POKER, I have played on Party Poker every night this week and have experienced the same problems. The only thing to which I can attribute this problem is the number of visitors to the site, especially at the play money tables. It's no secret that Party Poker has taken the lead from Paradise as the premier online poker room thanks to the Travel Channel. However, it's possible that they failed to project such an enormus player influx. Thus, their server is not equipped to handle such traffic, resulting in time-outs, delays and even the cancelling of tournaments and hands. In my opinion, this poses a severe problem to the real money players, and the best thing to do would be to limit the number of play money tables offered because obviously, the real money tables are where they generate their profit. On Monday, the site was down for about a half hour, and once I was able to log back on, my cashier screen showed that I still had money in play at a particular table in spite of the fact that I wasn't seated anywhere. I attempted to contact a live chat technician, which took another good half hour. To be honest I'm not sure what the nature of the problem is, and I certainly hope it does not persist because my results have topped my expectations so far on their site. I cut and pasted the follwing e-mail I received from them, just for your information. Good luck in your games this week. - Giocatore E-Mail: "Our apologies" Dear xxxxxxxxxx, We apologize for the inconvenience that you encountered while playing at the table 'CandyCanes' on 06/30/2003. From our records, we have found that you had $173.00 at the start of the game in which the problem occured. This game has been construed as a 'misdeal' and we have refunded the money back to your account. We greatly appreciate your support and your patience. See you on our tables! Wishing you the best, PartyPoker Support Team | ||

And only slightly less well known is this: never go in against a Sicilian (Mozman) when death is on the line!" | ||
