Firepay may be Ok if you live in the USA.
I sent Firepay money from a Canadian Master card. when I tried
to withdraw money they said that MC would not deal with them anymore and they had no way to return my money. I asked for
a check and they refused. The only way I could remove the money from Firepay was to blow it at a casino, which I finally did.

I've used FirePay with my CIBC Visa numerous times and they've never had a problem with it. The first time I used it I got my card frozen until I talked to the bank and told them that it indeed was me using the card online. I've never had so much as a hiccaugh since. What bank issued your MasterCard? Bank of Montreal is notorious for being silly buggers with their cards.
