| I'm planning on setting up with Neteller since I don't want to use my credit cards online anymore. But their website really doesn't give you much information. Is it linked to your regular bank account? should I set up a 'dummy' bank account just to transfer Neteller funds in and out? Should I even bother with Neteller or just wire money to the pokerrooms? Any help would be appreciated... beigs | ||

| Not at all. I just need someplace special to put all of those winnings :) I'm starting to wonder if meeting any other UPFers would be wise. I don't know if I'll live through the trip! on 2. | I used Neteller to make my first deposit at a site. It was pretty easy. They even called me to confirm I signed up. Funds went thru with no problems. Did a few transfers with them to and from other sites. However, I wanted to get a deposit bonus at another site so I made a new electronic fund transfer (EFT) to neteller. They have regular and insta-EFT. I mistakenly assumed I used insta-EFT the first time and used it for the second transfer. I was worried about a charge but didn't see anything on the first screen or confirmation screen. Once I confirmed, I saw the summary page. $455 deposited and $45 deposit fee. Holy smokes! What did I do? Did I miss something? I immediately called neteller. They said there was nothing they could do. I asked to talk to a manager. I finally got one after asking a few times. The manager said there was nothing he could do. I asked why they didn't have a warning about the fee. He said they did, on the first page. I told him it didn't. He checked with his staff and said it was on the confirmation page. I looked and sure enough it was. At the bottom of the page in small print BELOW the accept button. He claimed it was ABOVE the button. Now the page before had similar small print below the accept button saying a $25 fee would be charged for NSF. My mistake was not looking at what I thought was the same small print. Also, the confirmation said. Deposit: $500 Account: XXX Now you would think they could say: Deposit: $500 9% Fee: $45 Total: $455 Make it alittle more obvious. He said they have gotten alot of complaints but there was nothing he could do. I told him I don't need the funds today, I can wait for the EFT to clear. He said tough. He ended up hanging up on me when I question what kind of system they had were they couldn't reverse the fee. I called my bank and cancelled the transfer, saving me $45. Bunch of jokers. Neteller is good at transferring, but they don't seem to care about making their customers happy. If they would have dropped the fee and made me wait for the EFT, I would still be with them. I went to Firepay and Citadel and dropped Neteller. | ||

| So is Firepay a better option? I saw that all the card rooms use both and I'm sketchy on which site is less sketchy. | ||

| I've only used firepay and have never had any trouble with it.When I first started using it it was totally free but I think now they are charging a fee of like $1.00 per transaction.I have not made a deposit in a while so I'm not 100% on this.It takes about 3 days to get everything verified but once you do your transactions are pretty much instant. If you try firepay I think you will like it. | I've used neteller, and yes there are some fees when you deposit money, but I was aware of that when I did it. I like neteller mainly because its pretty easy (and free and quick) to withdraw funds from the casinos using it. They do call you up when you make your first deposit. When I withdraw from pp at night, I've done it twice, the first time it was in my neteller account by the time I woke up, the next time it was in there by the end of the day. As far as Dr. Monkey's complaint, that is a shame the customer service people couldn't reverse it , but at the same time, if you know it takes a few days for a regular EFT, it'd be hard to not assume that there is a larger fee for the Insta EFT, since with that they are fronting you the money. I personally havent setup a dummy account, but you mine as well do so , just to be on the safe side. | ||

Yes, do it this way. set up a account and keep a few bucks in it . then when you want to transfer money into your gambling account . then into a netteller account . then into the site account. I know it is a hassle . some sites Planet and party process related EFT directly . with these sites you can transfer money directly into your site account and back to your gambling account . it really speeds up the process. Netteller is one of the best sites to use although they are slow as molassas they are still free. Fire pay institutes a money in fee 1.50 and a money out fee 10.00 as soon as I get done with this promo Im working on I will not be using fire pay any more.

Oh yeah I wanted to add that once your established, planet will fund your account immediatly. it takes about two days to get the money once you have requested a cash out. they are the fastest in and out that I have experianced bar none. I really dont know why more people dont use their site. they have recently upgraded their software . they sponser this site. Maybe if they could just shake loose a few buy in coupons for the folks here they could build up their base. A buy in or two should do it. timmer
