This guy is a nuisance. He's an affiliate whore and will post links and spam anytime online poker is mentioned.

He will never have one single useful comment to contribute.

Hey onlinechamp,

Maybe you can answer some of the Omaha questions with me and some of the others...I know I would appreciate it and would love to hear some of your views on the game. If you'd like, you can ask me (or anybody else who would like to chime in)a question first and then I can ask you one. This way you can get started right now on the UPF...unless of course you're too busy. I have lots of time today, I'm taking the whole day off from poker and I finally got a laptop!!!! (that's kinda an inside joke between me and TK, but whatever)! Ok, ok, so it's not mine, I'm borrowing it!

P.s.
and not to worry, I don't have any bracelets either!!

Here is a good question. How do you know you low is good say you got a3 low (is there a way you can tell your good for half the pot)?

Hey,

I'm assuming that A-2 would be the nut-low in this particular situation, correct?

Well to answer that honestly.... You wouldn't know for sure unless you happened to have seen all four deuces getting turned up accidentally before hitting the muck! I'm being serious here..... But, if you have a tremendous read over your opponents and are only facing one opponent than your A-3 may be good enough for half the pot. You see, if there were many players in the hand with you and you didn't have the nut high, then you probably shouldn't be calling a bet with the second nut low either. My thinking is this.... If the pot is very multiway, you will need to hold a nut holding one side or the other. However, if you're in a heads up situation and have the second nut low, if you have a decent enough high hand to call a bet with, then you probably should make the call. Noone will be able to make the hand expensive for you because you're simply playing heads up. But you should also consider on how much money you have invested already. If you only tossed in one bet or something relatively small to that, then you may want to just concede your hand right there.

Another way of getting a little bit better read as to how strong your low hand really is (meaning, is it good enough to take half), is how the hand was played. Was there heavy betting when the low got there? If there was, then a fold would be the clear choice here.

Multiway pots VS. heads up play is different. Multiway = nuts only and heads up play= a little bit more 2nd, 2nd (if you will). But not always....sometimes. You must know your player. What do you think?

That's it.... no response ? You are not interested at all, that is what I think.

You stated that you had ALOT to offer.....what are you offering if you can't even respond to a basic ABC question? How can anyone expect to progress from anything that you have to say when all you are doing is asking them what site do you play at and at what limit? What kind of idiotic question is that? That has no relevance to how well someone plays or doesn't play and that has nothing to do with "Hey, how would you know if your A3 was any good?"

I don't think you have the slightest clue about Omaha....but that's ok. Not many do!!!

Can I ask why that would even matter? If I told you that I played really high limit, would you take the time to respond?

Let me ask you a question.

Are you really interested in poker (Omaha)? I would like to know what your opinion to playing the A-3 is. Is that too difficult a question?

4 Poker,

That was a very nice post. I have just started trying to learn O8 and that type of thing helps tremendously. Thanks!

Here is another one for you. How good a holding is bottom set on the flop (loose, low limit O8 game)? Right now my thinking is that you would need at least a draw to the nut low too, before you called any bets with it. Am I at least thinking along the right lines?

Hey Snorbolus,

That would all depend on what other cards you were holding to go with that set...exactly. With bottom set, you must be holding a strong enough or the nut draw to something else as well because if the board does pair, you will not have the nut full house unless you turn quads. If you held bottom set and also held the nut low draw and/or the nut flush draw to go along with it, then you could continue, BUT, if all you hold now is just bottom set, you should be folding that hand in that spot.

Hope this helps, and thanks snorbolus.

Actually onlinechamp?

Now that I think about it...that is not a good question coming from someone who is supposed to be the best Omaha player on-line. I'm sorry, but if you truly did understand Omaha, you wouldn't be finding the need to ask such a vague question.

Maybe the others were right..... I had hoped they were not, but I think by you not taking this seriously, you were just here to be.....? I'm still trying to figure it out. Oh well, when you want to really learn something (and maybe when you're old enough to play poker).....come see us again, OK?

P.s. If you are old enough and you're interested in some one on one.....leave your screen name. Hopefully you play at PartyPoker! (LOL).

My answer to a3 low is this if the flop is 456 and there is a bet on flop and no raise and only 3 in hand your a3 might be the nut low if ONE or more of the players is in the blind I am going to say your chances increase. Now If someone raises preflop that means 1-2 things they got a2 LOW or AA X. No more free tips!!!!

Dear onlinechamp (aka SPAM POSTER),

Please don't give me any more free tips......my sides are killin' me here! (LOL).

You need a lesson or two in Omaha AND grammar, not to mention that the ONLY post that you had to respond to was the one that you and I were trying to discuss, remember? But you found no interest in providing any useful matter on the subject so I'm glad you didn't bother to respond earlier. I, unfortunately have obviously wasted my time, but live and learn I guess.

And as far as you stating earlier that you have SO much to contribute?.....where is it?....Oh yeah, I see it now,"what site do you play at and at what limits?.....Gee, that's so powerful I'll have to really think hard about that one. Yeah, that has a whole lot to do with Omaha....yup.

GROW UP and come back when you're of legal age. On second thought...........just grow up!

P.s. what was that last comment you made at the very bottom of your post? Hmm, "I don't play at UB anymore but I wish I could".

I wonder why that could be, considering how you WISH YOU STILL COULD!

Hey 4 POKER (and onlinechamp) for that matter . . . OC is just messing around with you. If you got to know him better you would see that he's a good guy and a "ball buster." It turns out that we had encountered similar problems with Annie Duke on UB, and "ultimately," no pun intended of course, he got his chat revoked not for player abuse, but for asking Annie to leave her 4/8 table for once and play a higher limit. Don't take his posts too personal because that's just his nature, not to mention the fact that from what I've experienced, he's a decent poker player. Didn't mean to get involved, but just felt I had to because I respect the both of you.

Giocatore,

First off, Thank you for writing your post. My respect for you is mutual.

I responded so harshly and sarcastically because I thought (still not sure), he was a scam poster from awhile back ago and was giving him a little bit back.

I also was offended by the fact that I really didn't think he was even interested in this forum and just came here for I don't know what. And I then felt rather foolish (too be honest with you) for writing such a long and drawn out post over A-3 in Omaha hi-low. I thought, this guy is laughing at me right about now saying, what a goof, I could care less about this or the UPF. That was the impression that I got....could be wrong, been wrong before, but That is how I felt and still do.

I really don't care about his poker abilities here, it was his reactions or should I say, his NON-reactions that bothered me a bit. I also noticed that others thought he was a nuisance as well and that he would never contribute anything to this forum anyway. We (I) will wait and see.

I'm so protective over this place (how corny is that), but I just hate all those stupid and childish SPAM posts and thought....here we go again.

Anyway, thank you for the quick bio on this guy, I do feel better and once again Giocatore, my apologies to you (and all) for my bad behavior on this one. I am bigger than that, I should have at least known better if nothing else. I was just as much to blame for responding.

Peace.

Hey OC . . . Sorry, don't really want to divulge my PokerStars name here. No worries though, we're cool and have a mutual respect for one another. Nevertheless, go easy on 4 POKER. He is one of the most-respected, influential and arguably the top poster on this forum. I just think he was a bit baffled about your Omaha 8 A/3 question, taking into consideration that you chose the name "onlinechamp." If you do, in fact, choose to become a regular poster on this board, I'm sure that everyone will benefit in the longrun. Occasionally, as with any online message board, you encounter an idiot, like that moron who continues to post "Planet Poker scams millions" messages which, obviously, no one takes seriously.
