Tron,

The funny thing is....people play bad in ALL limits!

You however, should only be playing at a limit that is comfortable for you and in one that your own bankroll can handle.

Taking beats is tough but it happens and it will always happen, that's just the nature of the game.

Taking a break (like you're doing now) is great. It will give you time to re-group again, and in that time you should be re-evaluating some things. I think if you are running bad for a longer period and you're noticing that your bankroll is depleting a little bit, then stepping down might be the better choice. Gain some confidence back if you need to and then when your bankroll increases, you can move up again. Just remember, I don't care if the limit is $5-10 or $100-200, you will find "monkeys" in all the games, they may just have more money to gamble with and are not afraid to use it either. Not to mention that when you do move up, different "moves" are often being used here and you'll have to have more poker abilities that will allow you to still be a favorite in the game.

Always try and scope out the game first, and then take the seat.

Be aware of who your competition is.....you should always be playing against weaker opponents, even if they happen to beat one day or two days....as long as you're the better player and are always playing your absolute best game, that's all you should be worrying about. (but if you're still having difficulties in beating the game, then you will definitely need to re-evaluate everything and make sure that you don't have too many leaks in your own game).

I know you were just venting, but it's just something to throw across you, that's all.

Better results, Tron.

I'd have to agree with 4P. I took two weeks away from after the UPF tourney. I had 9 or 10 losing sessions in a row in ring games, stopped playing, and just came back on Monday and I've booked two winning sessions already. It was great to clear my head and be able to focus and stay disciplined during ring games. I'm much more aware of what's going on now. I'm not so upset about not being able to win.

thanks again, im regaining my confidence back.
I should come to reality that no matter what
limits bad beats happen. And take it as only
one hand type deal.

Good 'cause your confidence IS important.

I had a pretty rough week last week and tonight I played on-line poker for the first time in a long time (I've been playing mostly in live games), and even though the limits that I play on-line are relatively low to the ones that I play in the casino, I had a win (a modest one), but nonetheless it made me feel good to just win again. I know that everything is long term but you can't tell me that booking a win has ever made you feel bad either!

Get back in there Tron and may you have great results!
