| Does everyone really think starting at the lowest levels of play on the internet is the best way to learn the game? My argument is that by playing the lowest denomination games you are playing against mainly ignorant players with very bad habits. If you try and play textbook poker aginst them I believe you will either get too frustrated watching your solid starting hands getting drawn out on (you AK is not real strong against five or more players seeing the flop), or you will start to pick up bad habits and assume all games are played in this manor. I think the best idea is to study the books and play limits a little higher where a more traditonal game is played. DRich | ||

When you say demographics what do you mean? Do you live near a metropolitan area that has legal poker? There are classes at many quality casinos but they are generally very fundamental. Why dont you like learning online? Go play for play money your tuition is free. Read UPF every day. Buy the top books. And play , play, play Gary | ||
