| one table nl holdem tournament u have kq of clubs and 2nd in chip lead 2600chips 4 players left a player raises 300 chip leader 3600 in chips blinds 50/100 u call and flop is j, 10 of clubs and 7diamonds chip leader bets 300. what do u do? | ||

| You do what you should have done pre-flop...fold As the second chip leader you NEVER want to play against the chip leader | ||

| Folding is my first instinct pre-flop, but it really depends on how the chip leader plays. Once your in the hand and flop the straight flush draw, i would go all in, but thats just me - I'm willing to risk all my chips on 15 outs to a very strong heads up hand, against a probable over pair or set. (plus 6 more outs to a guaranteed top pair.) There are times i may fold this hand, but given the chance to become a huge chip leader in a situation where my opponent obviously doesn't want me to call, i will usually call. mark | ||

| thanks for the input. well it happens that he had pocket kings. i went all in after he bet 300, a jack fell then a 3 to finish me off with busted on the bubble. Anyway, with that many outs geez , how could i miss? lol | ||

| Don't tangle with the chip leader on the bubble. Everyone else is feeling uncomfortable, take advantage of this by stealing blinds from middle stacks. The chip leader doesn't want to lose the bubble time either, because he is likely doing the same thing. Lee | ||
