I was recently playing in a small tournament ($100 buy in). I was at the final table, with six other people. My down cards were A,3,5,6 (with the A,3 suited). Antes were $20, and I had called one bet to see the flop. After the antes, I was on the short stack with $70 left. The flop came A,J,3 rainbow. I was 2nd last to act. The action checked around to me (or so I thought). I bet $50, then the person before me said the action was on him (I could have sworn he said check). I pulled my $50 back. He bet $100 and I called (all-in with my remaining $70). The turn was a 10, and the river was a King. My opponent made an Ace high straight, and I was out of the tournament. Should I have played this differently?
