| I have been running bad for about 3 months now. I will admit that I can blame much of my first months losses on bad plays by me. I have since fixed several bad leaks that I had in my game. I am still making plenty of mistakes but I just cannot overcome the bad cards and bad breaks that I have been getting. Yesterday I finally got pocket aces, build a big pot only to find out my opponent also had pocket aces. I have been getting murdered in kill pots. This has really hurt me because I will be having a good session and then lose it all back in one pot. Not because I played badly, but because I get outdrawn on the river. It seems Kill pots bring out the gamble in people and they come in with the craziest hands. Of course I get dealt pocket Aces. Unbelievable bad beats: Flopped full Houses getting beat by runner runner quads etc. I have not been able to get on a rush. In big multiway pots; I flop nothing. heads up I flop a full house. I am not superstitious and I don't believe that I am cursed. I also know that after further review that I am playing most of these hands correctly. Is this just something that happens over the course of ones poker career kind of like a slump a pro athlete may have to endure? Has this happened to you and for how long? I have have taken a couple of forced vacations to review my game and I have maintained my discipline so I am happy about that. thanks for your time Mongi | ||

| I don't think 3 months running bad is at all rare for an overall winning player. It happens. Just keep playing your best game and within your bankroll. The times will come when it is you getting all those perfect River Cards and you will quickly be feeling like a genius again. At least that's what I keep telling myself. LOL | ||
