| Hi all, Getting ready to head out to vegas for a long weekend. Wondering where is the best places to play low limit holdem. 2-4 to 3-6 is my comfort level. We are staying at the mirage. Thanks to all who respond. | ||

| Paul is correct, the Mirage is your best bet. (pun intended) The Mirage has lots of 3-6 games! That is the lowest limit you will find walking distance from where you are staying. I believe the Mandalay and Palms also have 3-6 games. I personally think the spread limit (unstructured) 2-4-8-8 Hold'em game at the Flamingo Hilton is one of the best low limit games in town. (and it is walking distance to the Mirage) Good Luck in Vegas. ... Don't forget to get a "rate" card from the Mirage Poker Room and log your hours of play. If you play enough, you will get a Poker Room Rate. | The Excalibur has a $2-6 Hold Em spread game where you can bet anywhere from $2 to $6 dollars in any betting round. My only live casino poker playing experience came at the Excalibur and I settled right in and did well. Lots of fish, couple of decent locals who I found out quickly to stay away from. Pretty fun time overall for me. | ||

| The Monte Carlo has a nice low limit poker room. I think they spread $2/$4 and $2/$4/$4/$8 holdem games there. I found that the room was very nice and the other players were usually drunk. The other nice thing is the $2/$4 table only has a single big blind. This didn't seem to have any effect on the number of callers every hand, it just let me fold bad hands cheaper... | ||

| I stayed at the Monte Carlo for the weekend several weeks ago (probably first week in June if I remember right). So I don't know if they normally spread that game or not. They did mention that they usually have more stud tables, but everyone coming in wanted to play HE... | ||
