Can someone please explain to me again why pp crashes several times a night? What may I do to help? I really like the site and would love to see it grow, but i cannot see recommending it to anyone in it's current state. I would understand if the other sites had problems similar, but there are other sites that don't have this problem, at least not 3 or 4 times a night. Sorry, it's frustrating. We've all been very patient.

Thank you for letting me vent.

I too am having the same thoughts. Just now I wanted to play a few hands before work; signed on OK but it takes a long time to get to a table. Play is very slow. It can't be of the server load as they only have a little over 2000 players right now. Would also help if they let everyone know what is going on and a prognosis of repair etc. I am starting to look to other sites. Anyone tried Absolute Poker yet?

I have just downloaded Absolute trying to get in this last weekends tourney, but they couldn't handle all the ppl going there. They are doing it again this weekend in a satelite form. I look forward to checking it out.

For the first time, last nite when pp went haywire, Tech actually came in the room and apologized, although we expressed our disappointment in the site recently, they were very courteous. I wish they would have agreed with us that we at least deserve some planet points for our troubles, tho.....lol.....

I, too, will begin to look into other sites cuz as much as I like this one, I just would like to be able to play some cards without worries, and the other ones I have tried so far, I've been able to do that. It sucks that this site may end up a ghost town because of ??cheap programming/ poor ISP selection?? because I really like the community there, but what can one do..........

I hope they figure it out reeeeeeealllllll soon.

Wow. I don't think I've ever seen anyone quote "IT" before. My favorite book.

The question I am now asking myself is why I do that. It is intentional, but is it for that reason or because I just thought it looked cool? I'm not so sure. Damn you, subconscious!

PS-Why, thank you, Dread Pirate Roberts.

Want to help Planet Poker? Buy a bullet and rent a gun.

Seriously though, they are a dying site - I'd be pretty shocked if they were to revitalize themselves now.

As to the original post, using pp to identify the site is a problem. Party Poker has had problems but they are on the way to being fixed. They regularly have 5700 or more players on 600 + tables. i played 6 sitn-gos on their sister site Empire last night and had no outages of any kind.
I agree that unless someon puts some first class programming into Planet it will go by the wayside. Things change.
