| party cannot keep up with its traffic. every night action is interrupted as a result of their inadequacy. I've opened an account at ub and will be closing my account at party. i'd rather concentrate on the game than worry about disconnects and slowdowns. thanks for letting me vent I always tell the truth, even when i lie | ||

| You went to the wrong site if your looking for stability, honesty, and integrity, and no problems with and has the #1 support staff online. Without a doubt the best online site today is Planet Poker without anyone running a close second. I have played online for over 5 years and have tried every site there is. I give them all a shot. Planet Poker is the best all around poker site online today and it is getting better everyday. I still have an account at both sites you mentioned but when it comes to support staff(they have the best online),stability, honesty, and getting your money back to you quick no one comes close to Planet Poker! Good luck Philly! Give Planet Poker a try I think you will be a very happy player........ | ||

| Wow...this is ironic or funny given the written vitriol that Planet has gotten the past week or so here. Personally, I have never played there so I can't comment. However, I used to play at Paradise and now play exclusively at Party and my experience (other than the shut down this past weekend) has been quite good there, particularly with their customer service group's handling of the recent issue. I was playing in a sin n go on Friday night late when they were shut down. I waited for about 20 minutes and sent an e-mail to them asking for my $ + entry fee back. This was done almost immediately as they divided the prize pool among the 5 remaining players and refunded the $1. Now granted, I think they need server upgrades to handle the volume, but by and large I think they are the best site out there with the best availability of games and TONS of fishy fishy players. So, I am sticking with them for now. | ||

| I've had problems with UB in the past, but continued to play there because they have always treated me very well and resolved problems quickly and efficiently, even though I don't play a large amount of money. In addition, UB installed new servers this weekend, and the difference was remarkable. I like UB best of all. I was not happy with the experience at Planet, but I think people should make up their own minds... try it and decide for yourself. -Moz "Truly, you have a dizzying intellect." | ||

| Hey Moz, I play on UB as well. Other than a few isolated times I have had good luck with connection and their interface. I also rarely have trouble finding a game there in my stake range and they offer a decent selection of both Sit n Go as well as Multi Table tourneys. I've played at Paradise and Party as well but like UB the best. John | ||

| I agree....UB is da'bomb. With the exception of 1 time, I always have an easy time connecting and finding a game. Just wish they had more freerolls. | ||

| Yeah, I would like more freerolls too. And ones that AREN'T at 4am!!! Plus a better mixure of games and times. Maybe they wouldn't have to Guareanttee $XXXX every game and just payout what was paid in. I wonder how many times they guarantee a $1000 payout and don't collect that much anyway. TKarrde "You fool! | I just started playing at UB and really dig it. Especially playing in Kill games and 6 handed tables (I was in a wild one yesterday and made about 30 BB in an hour). My only complaint is that other rooms like Party and PokerRoom have far more tables at the $1-2 and $2-4 levels. It always seems like UB doesn't really heat up until the evening, while Party is rocking all day. The software at UB is great though and its a very fun site. Just wish there were more games. Also, UB's tournaments (and ring game action) seems to favor NL games (which is actually great, although I haven't been playing much NL to date). For limit games it seems Party has more action. I have accounts now at Party, UB and Pokerroom (phasing out Pokerroom I think). All three have their strengths so it makes for nice variety. 1. UB - has the best tournaments of the three and NL action. Good Omaha games too. 2. Party - most quantity and good variety with very fishy games. 3. Pokerrom - lots of $1-2 action and very fishy games. Very little variety (not much action in the NL and Omaha games). But if you want low limit hold em games, lots of good action with nice cash bonuses (every 100 player points is $1 back). So far, I am having the most fun at UB (but have won more money at Poker Room than any - mostly b/c I have been playing there the longest). | ||

| I have been playing online for 4 years, I have accounts at Party, Planet, Stars, Paradise, UB, Bugsy's Club, Highlands Club, PokerRoom, TruePoker, AztecPoker (Formally Poker.com), and I am sure I have forgotten a few that I have at least tried once.... My conclusion after 1000's of hours of online play is this: UB: Bar None Is The Best Online Site: I have never had 1 problem with payouts, especially since I opened up a Neteller account, If I request a withdrawal UB has it in my Neteller account by the next business day every single time! Plus the new amount of players since the airing of the UB Aruba tourney on the WPT is just enough to have a wide variety of games with a good mixture of tighties, loosie, sharks, fish, and average players. However, I feel like unlike PartyPoker, UB still operates within it's capabilities... If that makes any sense. I think because of the PartyPoker 30 second spot commercials on the Travel Channel (Usually during the airing of the WPT show) featuring Mike Sexton whom most poker newbies view as (The guy who broadcasts for WPT so this site must be the best) trustworthy, Party Poker has gone far beyond it's capabilities and it is absolutely impossible to keep up with who you play with on a day in and day out basis. UB still has a "home" feeling to me, for example I can usually always find at least 1 player that I have notes on or have played with many times at any table I want to play at. Plus UB's user interface is very friendly. Easy to navigate around the site and not so in your face or "complicated because there are so many options" like at many of the other sites. Now don't get me wrong I am no employee of UB's, I am not trying to simply sing their praises, I find many nice attributes of other sites as well, I just thought maybe this would help some others out their who are looking for a site to play at. The only thing I really dislike about UB is that they don't have an 800 number for customer service, everything is done via email. I don't know how to explain it, but I just really feel like any business seems more "stable" when they have an accessable phone number. The other positives for UB are in random order: The opportunity to play low limit holdem withPhil Hellmuth Jr., great payout multitable NL and limit holdem as well as Omaha/Omaho HL split tourneys, *A new item that they just started are REBUY tourneys* I think they are the first online site to offer this but I am not sure. A nice variety of Sit N Go's, plus they have a nice mixture of items that you can earn with your UB points which you earn for every real money hand you are dealt. You can purchase items ranging from UB hats and polo shirts, to books on poker, golf clubs, vegas trips, etc... Plus you can play in Sit N Go's as well as multi table tourneys playing for UB points and this is a quick way to build up your points while at the same time getting valuable tourney time experience. But the absolute most important thing I find that puts UB above the rest is the table layout: You are always seated at a round table where your view is similar to that of a "home" game view. The cards are large so it makes it almost impossible to "overlook" a flush on the board, and I feel this layout as compared to the "blimp" view layout that most other sites use, makes it much easier to concentrate on what is going on and who is doing what each and everyhand. Plus they have "instant" hand histories, where after the completion of a hand you can pull up the hand history immediately and see what hole cards each player had as long as the player was in the hand to the river and didn't fold to a bet. This is a major tool to conspire agaisnt collusion. I also think the randomness of the shuffle at UB is unparalleled on the net. As far as my quick opinions on other sites: Party: Too many people, I hate their shuffle distribution. Paradise: I like their limit sit n gos, tough games, hard to ever know who you are playing against. True: I love the animation myself, slows the game down, but I don't mind playing twice the amount of hands that I would in a B and M. Hate the randomness of shuffle though, seems like flushes and full houses always coincide. Highlands Club: I think they are out of business now, Doyle Brunson endorsed this company, their problem was no players. I played their for about a month and never saw more than 6 players on the whole site at one time. I did win 1000 dollars playing heads up and got paid quickly. Stars: I have won some good money at the 5-10 and 10-20 level there but the reason I even started playing there was for the "supposed great tourneys". Sure they have a lot but I will take quality over quantity anyday and I feel the UB tourneys are much more realistic. I have participated in and viewed 100's of Stars tourneys and it seems like if a person go's all in with the best starting hand they are the underdog, and that is simply not realistic. Bugsy's: Haven't played much there yet so can't give it any rating other than they need traffic. Planet: Don't want to say anything to offend anyone here as I know this is a Planet promoted site, but.....Join the new millenium, and quit dealing aces wired 4 out of every 10 times around the table. Good customer service though. Well I hope this helps someone out and good luck at the tables. | ||
