| So i was playing in a low limit hold'em game with this guy that thot he was god's gift to the poker world. Really arrogant and obnoxius. To illustrate how much so here is a quote from him that day, 'many people have tried to knock me off this table, but have failed, my friend.' My advice to newscomers dont adapt this table image. Self confidence is a plus, but when you are being loathed from the rest of the table they will pile drive you back to kindergarden where you belong. And espcially dont attempt this kind of table image at low limit game. You'll only come across an arragont wife beater or something. The real message of this post is that he was heads up with an old timer that made a cumbersome grap for his chips. This jerk immediately announced a raise before the old man had time to throw in his chips. The old timer threw in his chips and the jerk mucked it. I admonished the dealer and the player, stating that this guys not only acted out of turn, but also never placed his declared raise in the pot. Normally I like those kind of overt tells from a retard, but I felt sorry for the old timer involved. So about a half hour later im in the big blind with K,2o everyone folds but jerk and I get a heads up. The flop comes Q,2,10. Giving me low pair. Normally i wouldnt bet, but I made a slow stab at my chip, and the fool did it again. I hadn't even touched my chips yet when he announced 'Raise.' So I thot to myself ok lets play ball I made it 3-bets in one motion forcing the jerk to call. Luckly for me a duece came on the turn. A King came on the river forcing him to call me down sure enuff he was holding K,9 suited. Looking for that inside st8 draw. He was out of chips like 10 minutes later fulfiling his own self-claimed prophecy. | ||

| You really needed to say "people have tried to knock me off this table, but have failed, my friend" as you were raking in the pot. What an ass. | ||

| If he turned you from a solid player into a loose/aggressive player by being obnoxious, wouldn't that be a endorsement of being a jerk? | ||
