Greetings All..Just found this forum recently and went back and read over a 1000 threads. Liked what I saw so thought I should jump in too. Have only played in B&M so far but am about to try out online rooms. Couldn't decide which to try so have signed up for several. Variety is the spice of life they say and that can be applied to poker as well. After the tourny posts, PP is not one of them..ha..
Keep up the good posts.

I'm trying to figure out how to read that name. (Although it ain't as bad as trying to figure out stdioh.)

Is it Straight to TKO (Technical Knock Out)????

Welcome on board!!

Stdioh's name is a term used in programming.

"Standard Input Output H"

Right stdioh??? Did I let the cat out of the bag???

Thanks Moz, thought I had that in there.

Too bad we didn't get to play at the same table last night! Maybe next time.

Close enough. The file is stdio.h which is the header file for the standard input output library. When people don't know I usually tell them that it is my name, that it is Italian, and that it is pronounced "Stugio". If somebody says, "Hey! #include <stdio.h>! Har Har. You're a C++ guy right?" I usually respond with, "What's a C++?"

I still haven't gotten around to get the personalized licence plates of STDIO H though ... a real shame. Normally ontario licence plates have a crown in the middle so that a plate might be FEL (crown) 810 or the likes, but personalized plates can't get a crown in the middle - too bad because it would look enough like a period to make sense.

The Ontario motto of "yours to discover" also goes nicely underneath it.

You got it! "Straight to TKO"..tko being my real initials..Yea, I know, I have heard 'em all..ha..I did notice the negativity flowing freely but that just means you all are awake. I would have probably been righteously indignant myself. Thanks for the welcome, it is appreciated.

Welcome!

Yeah, a bunch of us were a little, uh, edgy last night during and after the tournament, but we've taken chill pills since then and are back and better than ever :O)

Anyhoo...glad to have you aboard!

Welcome str8...

The negativity you saw yesterday was unusual.

As far as PP goes, while several of us were less than happy with it (myself included) I always encourage people to make their own decisions. I would rather hear that you checked it out yourself, than that you didn't even bother because of our ramblings.

But that's just me. :)

Welcome to the board. You came in at precisely the wrong time when we were all pissing and moaning about a bad tournament, but you'll find that we're usually pretty flame free pretty on topic and pretty much a good refuge from RGP. Good to have you.
