| For some reason, I felt compelled to drop $150 on a Party Poker Million satellite last night. For every 60 entries, they award a spot onto the cruise and into the finals. There were 210 or so players so there would be 3 spots awarded and they would divide the left over entry money (some $4500) to the top 20 finishers (or somewhere around 20... I don't remember exactly). Anyways.... You start with 1000 in chips. I built my stack to 3000 by the 3th round. There were some incredibly horrible players. People stayed to the bitter end when the flop came K-A-7 and they had a 7. I ended up finishing 102. I had some bad beats (including one that knocked me out) but I will not bore you with them. I'm trying to decide if I would spend the $150 and do it again. I think I'm leaning towards "no". The rounds came way too fast for the small amount of chips you were given to play with. If you don't get any cards you are doomed. Just thought I'd share my experience with you. | ||
